It's very cool! 2 years ago KimL commented on #149 Withdrawn I like this version! Can you put a windmill in the background of this one? I'm also wondering if we should try this with a slightly less vibrant colors? I like the palette but it's very vibrant. We're a more temperate climate so can we try the greens/blues/burnt orange but slightly more faded or deeper? I also wonder if the background was the two green colors then the blue strip so it looks more like an island? 2 years ago mplusc commented on #152 Withdrawn Here is a version with the wind turbine incorporated in the A and the cottage in the R 2 years ago mplusc commented on #125 Withdrawn please see #151 for the revised colors 2 years ago mplusc commented on #130 Withdrawn also #150 for the addition of the cottage house to replace the A 2 years ago mplusc commented on #130 Withdrawn please see #149 with the island map filled in green 2 years ago KimL commented on #130 Withdrawn I'm wondering if making the island a solid color (maybe even green) with the blues around it would make it seem more like an island surrounded by water within the tree? Not sure how that would look...just a thought. 2 years ago KimL commented on #130 Withdrawn We really like how this unique this is. Could we maybe see a wind turbine in the background? And what about making the A in Vineyard resemble the cottage we sent the image of earlier? 2 years ago KimL commented on #128 Withdrawn We do like this very much. Would like to see it in different more contrasting colors. We would like the island to pop a little bit more. And can we please add another cottage to scale. 2 years ago mplusc commented on #112 Withdrawn please see #130 with the lighthouse replacing the "i" of "Vineyard" 2 years ago mplusc commented on #125 Withdrawn thanks for your feedback. Please see #128 for the revised design. 2 years ago KimL commented on #125 Withdrawn really liking the direction here! Can you shrink the size of the fishing boat or decrease the significance of it so it has same power as the lighthouse, turbine and cottage. And maybe make the "Connected to our past" a stronger Font or bold? 2 years ago mplusc commented on #11 Withdrawn please see #125 for the new design 2 years ago KimL added markup for #112 Withdrawn 2 years ago KimL commented on #112 Withdrawn okay, the full lighthouse in the foreground is not really working, is it possible for the top of it in the tree canopy to be sent to the back behind the blue.. so its just an outline? 2 years ago mplusc commented on #107 Withdrawn no problem, please see #115 for the color change 2 years ago KimL commented on #107 Withdrawn can we see this as is, but with a brownish trunk? THanks! 2 years ago mplusc commented on #84 Withdrawn thanks for your valuable feedback! Please see #107 for the revised design with the outline of the island. 2 years ago KimL commented on #84 Withdrawn another idea I just had- do you think it would be possible to incorporate the outline of the island into the tree canopy? Again, in a very subtle way? https://www.istockphoto.com/vector/shape-of-marthas-vineyard-gm1316597721-404287087 Thanks! 2 years ago KimL commented on #84 Withdrawn we like a number of your designs and are interested in working with you on the next phase. We chose this one as the top because it was so unique. We like how you put the waves into the tree canopy... would it be possible to make the trunk just slightly resemble a lighthouse? Definitely not literally... and maybe show us some color variations. perhaps the trunk is white or a burnt sienna. Thanks! 2 years ago KimL commented on #11 Withdrawn We like the direction we are headed in here, but would also like to see an image looking from the ocean towards the island. Gay head lighthouse on the left, rolling farm land with a wind turbine on the horizon (Allen Farm), and cottage (oak Bluffs) structure on the right. with a fishing boat in the foreground. Simple - maybe a line drawing style.... here is an example of a cottage https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wesleyan_Grove#/media/File:OakBluffs2.jpg 2 years ago mplusc commented on #26 Withdrawn Please see #43 for the revised version with the steam boat and town shops elements 2 years ago KimL commented on #26 Withdrawn Thank you all for the great early designs! In addition to our beautiful beaches and lighthouse, Martha’s Vineyard is comprised of six small towns all with their own unique character. You can search online to see images but think of quaint storefronts and restaurants. We do not have any chain or fast food restaurants here- these are all home grown. It would be cool to see an example of a town center incorporated somehow either literally or as a silhouette. Here are some images to get you started again there are plenty online. https://gomarthasvineyard.com/oak-bluffs https://www.dropbox.com/s/qovxgjietmj1n92/yj2fJWmpYg7Nfcv19?dl=0 We have a rich history of fishing and farming and landscapes that reflect farm to sea as well as several quaint towns. It would be great to see more options that include these type of landscapes and town scapes in addition to the lighthouse. How about an image of the ferry possibly https://www.gettyimages.com/photos/steamship-authority-marthas-vineyard-ferry 2 years ago
