We specialise in unobtrusive wedding cinematography. We let the day unfold and stay in the background, allowing the photographer to work, while we capture cinematic style video of the wedding day. We are a boutique media production company specializing in high end HD results.

Top Three Things to Communicate
#1 - We are a boutique high-end service provider.
#2 - We have a modern, funky & fresh approach.
#3 - We are extremely savvy.
Our Target Audience:
Bride's aged 23-35. We find that the women generally choose the video producer for their wedding and the groom pretty much follows. We offer boutique high end results and do not want to come across as cheap as we offer high end results. This is only one division of our production company, we also do corporate videos, music videos, documentaries and TV commercials. The customer needs to know that we have a wide range of skills and they are investing in a high quality production.
Color Preferences
Limited range of colours. Not too colourful as we are trying to avoid the tack factor. But we do like black with red.
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
********************************************************************************************** ************** PLEASE VIEW - some image samples of our work: ************** *************** http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/7801644_xvh4z *************** It is very important that the logo compliments the cinematic boutique style of our work. The logo should be able to sit over the top of any of our images and comfortably work as a poster or an advertisement.

The slogan we provided does not need to be in the logo - we can work that out later.
**********************************************************************************************
When setting up this new business name for the wedding video side of our business, we wanted to have a name that is easily remembered - a conversation starter. Most people giggle when they hear this name, and basically we want to create a running theme throughout every aspect of the business.
**********************************************************************************************
Originally we liked the concept of the Ocean's 12 silhoutte look, but we felt that what we came up with was a little too masculine or sinister for weddings. You are more than welcome to use this idea but we want it to appeal to brides. Although it was an Ocean's 12 theme in mind, the theme we were going to use across our paperwork was to create a mystery about who the talented guest actually is... just like the James Boag's commercials, "Who is James boags". We would never get to see the talented guest's face, hence the silhoutte.
**********************************************************************************************
Due to the length of the name, it is hard to create a logo that is not too cluttered. We need something clean, simple, sophisticated yet modern and fresh.
**********************************************************************************************
With font we also like the idea of a scripted font as well. Not so much a classic script but more of a handwritten modern script, but we find that sometimes they are hard to read.
**********************************************************************************************
In regards to a human figure, we had an idea to have some sort of a silhouette man/woman with a (photo) camera shaped head, which is a little more quirky, but not sure if it suits a wedding concept either and the style of our work.
**********************************************************************************************
Lastly an emblem could work really well with the addition of some filigree around it, which traditionally works well within the stereotipical wedding style. **********************************************************************************************

Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.

mine i meant... sorry that wasnt meant to be nasty.... i was just having a laugh. this is a great contest......... im really looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with. :)
Michael, to clarify. The majority of the images were taken by the photographer we work closely with. Although some of the shots are staged, we as video producers do not get involved, we shoot what happens, when it happens - the photographer staging shots is part of the day and our approach can be at times "behind the scenes" as far as the style of video is concerned (at times we show the photographer taking photos of the couple).
No offense taken, we are looking forward to everyones designs also.
#47 I love the idea of an emblem style with a modern but classic touch, the bold font sands out well. Some different emblem styles would be good.
#43 & #38 I like the use of a graphic symbol. I feel they don't represent us as well as they could though, some more development would be good. Would love to have a strong graphic symbol incorporated with colour. You can add more colours if you like to play around with added tones. #43 This one looks more like a flower and #38 good start but looks like there are hooks with in the graphic. But love the initial ideas. These are more modern and contempory looking, which is a nice and seems to represent us well as a company.
#11 Great idea! but the graphic could be a little more compact and not as long. More definition with the text rather than the graphic. I feel that people may not see this as video but maybe an entertainment act instead like a magician.
#8 & #56 Love the idea but we feel it doesn't say weddings enough and doesn’t works well with our style of work unfortunately. Very James Bond like.
#20 Like the use of font but a graphic to compliment would be stronger.
The link above is a collection of logos we like the style of. We feel that some designs are not in the right direction as to what we are after for our business image. Hopefully the logos may inspire some new idea's and concepts. There seems to be the same concepts being reworked.
Lastly we don't want any cliche graphics used, such as traditional looking video camera's and film feels. We would like more of a contemporary modern look.
There isn't anything that we have seen yet as we are 100% on so the prize is still wide open to anyone!

" March 22nd, 2009, 11:48am How are you doing ? hope you are doing great. As this contest is about to come to an end, and you will be chosing the best new logo for your company, i just wanted to have your attention to some important point that you might be aware of or might not. I hope i am not miss understood by pointing out this to you and that you understand.
When the contest ends and you have made your mind and desicion about the winner logo, the winner gets the 1st place, but the 2nd and 3rd place and going on forward, 4th, 5th, 6th , etc , each one or slot should be filled with a seperate designer and different concept you found second best, third best to follow etc.
This helps towards us designers ranking and also it is a way from you to show your appreciation to the hard effort and trails put from the beginning by one designer or appreciating a nice design concept put earlier by a designer that led to developing on right direction for others and you getting the best you could at the end.
It feels frasturating for other designers and pointless of giving all the top rankings for same winner designer, while those were just a small variations of the winning design and therefore the other places 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc are not filled with different designs from a different designer.
So i hope you understood my point i was just trying to point out to you here and all the best of luck in chosing your winner logo, there are really good ones out there.
We would like to thank everyone for their efforts and great designs. Please know that the reason we extended the auction is not because we were not happy with the results, but because there were so many quality designs posted at the last minute we did not have the chance to decide on a winning entry. This auction will be ending very shortly (not within the extended 7 day period). Regarding how we ranked logos - it was too hard to keep ranking as there were too many coming in.
We noted some very strong concepts from different designers and it was a matter of sitting down and deciding which design best reflects what we are trying to achieve, and which design would appeal to our target market. The thing to note is that, although we gave some direction as to what we would like to see, we were surprised at how totally new concepts inspired us much more than what we initially anticipated as a theme.
Once again we thank everyone for their efforts and we will be announcing the winner shortly.
