Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions

We would like the slogan "Heat Treating and Black Oxide since 1963" incorporated into the logo.

Heat Treating is the process of hardening (or softening) steel. We take metal parts (tools, screws, gun parts, aircraft parts, molds, etc) and put them into furnaces that operate up to 2250 degrees F. We also have the capability to freeze parts down to -120 degrees F.

We like 6, 12, 10 & 11 the best. We like that you incorporated the flame in some design ideas. We like the hexagonal shape in 6 because that is the shape of bar we commonly receive for heat treating. Also in 12 it resembles a gear which we also heat treat regularly. We would like to see variations on each of these logos. For #12 you could make it look more like a gear with additional flam on the inner diamter. For #6 & #11 we would like to see some variation in color and design.

Another idea we had as a different direction we could possibly go with the logo is the fact that we are an aerospace heat treater. We heat treat numerous parts for the aerospace industry (sikorksy, boeing, pratt & whiteny etc..) We were thinking we could incorporate something aerospace related such as an airplane or a helicopter.
