I really like the rustic stamp type looking logos similar to the ones in the links below

By way of furtehr background. we quite like a mix between rustic and modern over pretty looking logos.

We also (generally) like a more simple, striking text as opposed to a busy text.

We are really liking the designs so far!!!

Here are a few more points to note:

1. we would like the logo to have a stamp like quality see: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/173036810654738568/ (EG: in a circle with a border, "- EST 2013 -" at the top, overlapping S & M in the middle and the words "The Silk Merchant" at the bottom)

2. we like a simple clear font eg: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/144537469264594184/

3. Also we would like this logo to either be in 'black and white' or a modern bluey/green/grey colour (not too bright though)

By way of feedback. I wouldn't mind seeing some slightly more elegant logos just for comparison. I really like the simple, elegant style of this one by way of example - http://www.pinterest.com/pin/144537469264594184/. For more classic logos I like black or navy blue.
