Our Ideas & Additional Information
We are hoping to have our current character/logo "grow up" and be less corny. We would prefer to keep our current red oval but are seeking the best font for readability. We don't care if the character is separated from the oval. Please see www.4professor.com for current logo or see the attached.

With the exception of gagu, these logo's are still on the corny side and do not capture the professionalism and friendliness we are looking for. When we say "grow up", we are referring to well-groomed, more professional, and not look like we are marketing to children. While it's OK to keep toying with the words within the logo, the big thing to nail down is the character.

There's just too much going on with these logos, which is making them a bit messy. Can one of you take a swing at what this guy would look like if he was standing on two feet? Let's lose the light bulb, plunger and thermostat and see what that looks like.

Let’s try to open this up a little bit. Most of these are too similar to what we currently have, which we are trying to do away with.

We are trying to accomplish one of two things:

1. In our business our trucks are a large part of our marketing. Our first priority is to figure out what font will make our company name more readable. Said another way, what font would help our trucks become very effective 50 mph billboards? It is important to note that we still want to keep the shape and red color of the oval in our logo.
2. It is still undetermined if we will keep a character as part of our logo. With that said, if we do, we need him to grow up. We utilize a human actor in all of our commercials and print ads. Our thought is to have our character look more like him or just eliminate him all together from the logo and just have him as part of all marketing as a human. He is bald and dresses in a technician uniform, you can view him on our website, www.4professor.com, or search our company name on YouTube to view our commercials. If we do utilize him in our logo we envisioned him as a caricature that isn't over the top. One that's body is proportional to his head. I also think it is important to eliminate the hair on his head, mustache and glasses so he more closely resembles are human in our commercials. We market to those that are 40 and over, both male and female so we don't want to be cartoonish. Post with questions!

Gagu and EdNal did a good job with the characters. I like how Gagu implemented what our actual uniforms look like. ibot, had a good idea with the wrench on the bottom containing our slogan. I would like options with a full bodied and half bodied character. Also "snapping" their fingers and giving a thumbs up. Another good example of a "life-like" character is the "Service Professionals" out of New Jersey (minus the hat). These are good and I'm pleased thus far. I'm looking forward to what you can come up with.
