The Power of Allyson Logo Design Contest

The Power of Allyson has selected their winning logo design.

For $300 they received 189 designs from 39 different designers from around the world.

I chose a typeface that was youthful and energetic, but also had the appearance of arms which lends itself to the overall concept of the purple wristband - which signifies the "Power of Allyson". Considering the "LiveStrong" logo - the simple yellow band has become an international symbol for cancer awareness, and I think the purple band can have a similar effect but keeping the playful independence of a little girl.
