Logo Designer
Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ You, the Client, are very important! Your active participation is the single greatest factor influencing this contest. Active participation by you, the Client, helps you get the logo design you want!
~~ What's active participation? It's updating the brief with more information for Designers to work with as the contest progresses, providing feedback to Designers on their entries when they're submitted, and ranking designs at least once a day.
~~ When you provide feedback to Designers, you increase the chances of getting the logo you want. More feedback = better results!
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion.
~~ Rank designs at least once each day -- this will encourage Designers to submit more entries!
~~ Ranking prevents your contest from going idle! Active contests attract more Designers.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed. Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Please note: if you're asking for a design that will require several hours to create, to attract Designers willing to invest that amount of time the prize should be at least $400-$500. All "Character" style logos fall into this category.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested." We'd like to know what you don't want so we can give you the design you do want.
~~ The first phase of the contest is the "Open" phase, and everyone can submit during that time.
~~ After your contest's initial "Open" phase closes, it will enter the "Top 5" phase; only the top 5 ranked Designers will be able to submit revisions at that time.
~~ The "Top 5" Designers are the first 5 Designers in a contest, not the first 5 designs.
~~ When "Top 5" ends, the "Judging" phase begins. The Designer of the 1st place design will be the only Designer who can submit revisions at that time.

Client
Designers,

An important element we would like you to take into consideration is that the 'LYFE' to be the universal/cohesive element prevalent throughout the brands logos, with a clean & simple styled font to the left of it. (Note: this should not limit your logo design, if you have other ideas we are entirely receptive to them)

MODERN LYFE
FIRE LYFE
WATER LYFE

etc.

The LYFE would be the logo element and the 'Modern/Fire/Water' etc would be text based. This doesn't mean the LYFE has to be a complex or wild logo - but it should be the primary recognizable element of the branding/logo. It can be stylized text, or a logo/icon of sorts, etc. Please, be creative! We like the idea of using a Martini glass as the Y - but this is just an example. (We are not recommending you all use a Martini glass, this is just an example of the type of creative elements we'd like the logo infused with). Thank you and great job thus far

For further clarification, we would like to have the main 'logo' displayed to be the LYFE segment. Alternatively, instead of an M (which many of the current designs utilize), we'd like to use a Y or LYFE, or perhaps even an L. As mentioned, you can get creative here: feel free to implement a recognizable home item f the industry (an example above was a Martini glass doubling as a Y)

Thank you!

Client
Designers,

Thank you for your awesome submissions. We'd like to attempt at combining the styles of the #24, #48 and #54 ranked logos.

- We like the feminine styling for 'Modern' in #24
- We like the Logo style and professionalism/modern styling of #48
- We like the sideways 'THE' in #48
- We like the Martini glass concept in #54

- We'd like the logo to have a web 2.0 vibe
- We'd like the logo to have a modern/clean font
- We'd like to emphasize the 'LYFE' as this will be the recognizable element applied to the numerous Modern Lyfe properties/websites
- The logo itself should focus on a Y or L, rather than an M -- AND/OR -- would be cool to implement some creative but recognizable items (like a Martini Glass) infused into the Y/L/Logo

Please keep some of these elements in mind! Thank you

Client
Designers,

We feel like the comments have caused everyone to focus on one direction and style, however, these were not meant to do so. Please feel free to design your logos at will, using your own creativity. The comments above are merely meant to assist your ideas and to help tone or shape some creative elements.

The main points to keep in mind are the following:

- The Modern Lyfe will be the parent company of Fire Lyfe, Water Lyfe, Home Lyfe, and so on. With that said, we want the 'Lyfe' to be emphasized as the unique and recognizable logo or element that we can utilize throughout all of the 'Lyfe' properties.

- We'd like a cohesive style for the logo - if you look at the "Styles that we are interested in:" area, you can see the famous logos displayed each retain the same feel throughout the logo. The examples we're seeing seem to have various vibes or feelings for different segments of the logo - and admittedly, that may have been due to our suggestions being misinterpreted.

- The logo should be clean and modern, and overall professional (with a dash of 'edginess' or 'fun'),

- If you use a separate logo element (for example: a sphere with a martini glass in it), and want to use a letter as the basis for the logo element - please do not use an 'M', but instead use a Y. Alternative to the Y, we also welcome you to test out L, or perhaps LYFE itself.

Thank you for your time and we are looking forward to the final wave of logos and choosing a winner! Good luck
