You are obviously quite talented. The rankings we have given some of your work clearly demonstrates that your work is being taken very seriously. We will provide some specific feedback once we talk it over.
There is something strangely compelling about #73 because our offices are completely decentralized. We have collaborators and clients all over. Your logo suggests a network.
#86 - I understand your concern about timelessness and I agree. I have my own well considered views too, though. As they relate to the treatment here, I do not think techniques like gloss and gradient will go away for the simple reason that they are especially well suited to screen presentation and as more and more of our branding efforts are web-based, screen presentation and its strengths become increasingly relevant. I'll put together a 'stripped-down' version as well, though.
What if your logo #73 had a font treatment a little more akin to logos #27 #91 #89 ?
Would that destroy everything that is interesting about #73 or would it allow the words "liberty" and "lab" pop?
We are getting some very positive feedback about text treatments that use tight kerning and a combination of bold and normal font weights. It seems to allow even greyscale fonts to pop.
We are really struggling with selecting a final design.
We like #73 but have a harder time visualizing building a brand around the design.
What if you took the font treatment from #115 and combined it with a grayscale version of the logo component in design #73? Does that make sense of does it create a visual mess?
I'm more than happy to work with you further but in judging mode I would have to be ranked first in order for the system to allow me to upload revisions...
