WOW. Just when I think I have a favorite, this pops up!

Here's what I love about this:

1) The simplicity. This is a logo that could appear at the top of every chapter... all over a website, on my PDFs, even on mugs/tee-shirts/etc.

2) Love the dotted outline. Very cool. I am absolutely blown away by all of you guys and your sheer creativity. I feel very fortunate to be working with ALL OF YOU!

Here's what needs to be addressed:

I know that the majority of my audience will be male. That being said... I don't want to alienate the female market and I feel that a TIE definitely does that = male, male, male.

I want everybody to feel like they can be taught to be an invisible boss. Is there anyway we can create a logo that is NON-GENDER specific? It's a tough challenge, I know. But with the genius that I've seen here so far? I'm sure we can come up with something.

OOOH! I just got an idea!! Is there anyway, Mr. MikeMX (or anybody else), that you can create the invisible person with their FEET ON THE DESK? I'm picturing an invisible person with their feet up, leaned back in a chair, and their hands behind their head in a VERY RELAXED position.

That would have the added benefit of promoting the REAL benefit of the course-that-I'm-selling:

"DOUBLE YOUR FREE TIME" = more time to relax!

...
Again: I want to tell you guys that ALL OF YOU ARE AMAZING.

Thanks so much for working on this!

Ooooh... I also would like to get the word "THE" in there somehow.

Check out Entry 14. He does this very successfully by making it a little smaller.

"The INVISIBLE BOSS"

Thanks!

About the non gender specific issue, the male form is very different from the female form thus, in any angle (even in silohouette) the male form can be distinguished clearly from a female form. I even was tempted to make a logo using only raised legs and feet on the table but again, the form of the feet will give it away. Maybe something might come up if ever, thanks for your time, and good luck to your contest, we will try our best to come up with that amazing logo.

Good day!

Mike-

WOW. Wow, wow, wow.

I love it. It's simple. And it's incredibly well done. GREAT WORK ON THE FONT. "The" is the perfect size and I love how it reads vertically.

In regards to the gender issue:
You are 100% right. I would say that by using a silhouette, you have to commit one way or another. Fortunately I don't think a "male" silhouette will be as big an issue to women. Keep the silhouette as is.

The tie, however, is something we need to change.
A) Because it's masculine
B) Because I want the 'boss' to look as relaxed as possible. And a tie = too formal.

Check out Entry #18 by Paull.

He does a "V-neck" look. The boss in his logo appears to have a collered shirt... like a buttondown. Not only is this universal to women and men, but it also makes him look very relaxed.

If you can figure out how to get the tie off without looking silly? You're going to be a strong contender for #1. Actually, you already are. But let's keep tweaking.

Thank you, Mike, for all the effort here.
You design-artists BLOW ME AWAY!

Nice! You're getting warmer!

The blue V-neck is very neat! Even though it didn't change in rank, I like that one (and the blank one) higher than the tie, definitely.

We're still not at the "OH MY GOD, YES!!!!" moment. Even so, you might have a shot at getting double recognition here, at the rate you're going. Simply outstanding.

The green was neat. But that Blue still looks better.
The dotted collars, while very creative, looked a little out-of-context. Any other way we can represent the coller without going dotted? I really like the solid color-contrast to create the shirt.

Another random thought: What if we tried turning the chair a different color, like in Javier's (#24)? I don't know what would be best... maybe black? Just something to investigate.

Keep fiddling! And please don't think you're wasting your time... the more ideas that I say NO too, the more it makes me like what you have.

From one Mike to another: THANK YOU!

I didn't use the dotted line boss anymore for these 3 studies because he or she is already away from the office.

HAHAHAHAHA!
You have been VERY VERY HARD AT WORK!

Congratulations... you figured out how to 'plug the hole'. Your "Pina Colada" drink on the desk??? OUTSTANDING. #38 That was the missing link. Way better than the tie... or the collar... etc. LOVE IT.

(By the way, the GONE FISHING #50 LOGO is hilarious! I laughed out loud when I saw it. I don't know if I could use that for the brand, because it's so specific... but damn. I gotta use it somewhere! haha!)

I also love the boss "fantasizing" about being someplace warm. #40 #41 :) The only reason I didn't select those? Because if he is fantasizing, it implies that he's not there. But I might change my mind on that... because I like em a LOT!

The only reason I didn't go with the HAMMOCK ones (#48 #49)... is because I don't want people to think that I'm ripping off "4 HOUR WORK WEEK." But they are awesome too.

At this point, Mike, you have guaranteed that you are going to get at least some ribbons here. I'm assuming you get ribbons for any design that is in my LIKE COLUMN?

Let's do a bunch of color variations on #38. I don't know which one will look best. Let's try the following (if you don't mind):
* Blue Desk. Black chair. Blue Drink.
* Blue Desk. Blue chair. Blue Drink.
* Blue Desk. Blue chair. Yellow Drink.
* Black Desk. Black chair. Yellow Drink.
* Blue Desk. Black chair. Orange Drink.

Maybe also try some different chair colors. It's hard to tell which will look the best.
Any other color-combinations that I'm not thinking of... that YOU think will look cool... be my guest!

Also: if you want to try to spice up the drink on the desk? I like the solid color. But feel free to tinker around with it! At this point, you have proven that you have a greater creativity than I do.

Again, Mike. CONGRATS! You are producing some amazing work and I can tell that you really want to win this thing.

Don't know what will happen in the last day-and-a-half... but I love the effort.

THANK YOU!

-Mike-

PS. Which one do YOU like best? I'm interested in your opinion.

Thanks for appreciating my effort Mike, I just want to produce the logo that will absolutely leave an impression for your clients. About those other stuff I made, yeah they where a lot of fun hehe! I will be producing the color combinations you requested, and maybe come up with other stuffs as well if I get lucky again hehe.

Thanks a lot for making it easier for us with your clear decision guidance and inspiration as well.

We do appreciate it.

oh and about the question which I like best is #38 or #39. Simple yet complete.

I was shutting down my PC when this thought hit me, I added a scissor to the dotted line literally cutting him off his/her office desk. I think its cool too. Thanks!

Mike-

...so I just showed my logo to all sorts of different people... and they UNANIMOUSLY liked the more simple versions! I was like, "are you serious???" They didn't understand the drink until I explained it to them.

Being that a lot of these people represent my target audience, I would be wise to cater to their tastes. Lo-and-behold: you have created some masterpieces and should expect to place very well in this contest.

For your final entries... can you create:

#26 with a black chair
#68 and #69 with no drink (and a blue chair)
#68 and #69 with no drink and a black chair

Again = you have been absolutely awesome. I don't know how this will all shake out... but you have certainly earned some top spots, Mike. Totally worthy of recognition.

Thank you again.

Thank you Mike for the great feedback once again. Yes they are correct, most of the time a simple logo usually has more retention than a busy looking one, I will process your suggestions today and post it asap, thanks again!

Mke-

I submitted comments to you... but for some reason, they didn't show up here? Maybe it's my internet connection... I am away from my office as I type this.

Anyway:
Thank you for the Thanksgiving wishes. :)

And thank you for the excellent work!
At this point, unless somebody else comes along in the last couple hours and miraculously submits something incredible, I would say you have a TOP 3 locked up.

Entry #90 is simply awesome... and getting lots of praise from everybody I show it to.

Being that this could be the logo that I use for all of my PowerPoint presentations and Movie productions... would you be willing to make two more? (Hopefully this won't be much effort... just adjustments)

1) A faded version (barely visible), that could be used in the background of a power-point presentation?
2) One more that includes the words: "Produced by:" You may even include these words on the desk next to the word: "THE"

I will put this second logo on a black back-drop at the end of my movie files... the black chair will disappear on these, so --if you're willing-- you may want to outline the chair in white... and add a black background.

PS.
I know this might be an unusual request... but I'm really trying to see which logo will look best on all my media. I'm only asking you and Javier (VerbaVolantBranding) to do this, which pretty much means that you guys are probably going to place first-and-second in this contest... dunno which order, but I'd love to see what the logos look like in a different context.
