Thanks

PS:The heads of the people forming the tree i colored red because they sort of represent the fruit, which if you work toward something you not only want to grow but you usually bear the fruit of your efforts.

what a great way of looking at that C, I like it.

Thank you for your efforts with submitting your designs.

I like the colours in #40 & #41, thank you.

I would love to share some feedback here with you -
*the tree we are visioning has a strong trunk which for us represents strength, courage, can handle adversity etc.... So more like a tree with a few thick branches etc...

I really hope this helps you, have a great day and thank you again

Hi C,

thanks for your new designs, the one we are more resonating to is #47, so can you work from this one for the following suggestions? -

We are resonating more to these green shades -
3A5F0B - http://www.colorcombos.com/colors/3A5F0B
1B2A16 - http://www.colorcombos.com/colors/1B2A16
005502 - http://www.colorcombos.com/colors/005502

Can we have the trunk a dark brown to black colour please?

Also my partner is interested in seeing a line under the tree (ground)
Nothing thick, just to determine the ground etc..
the same colour as the trunk please?

Also, one of the designers created a logo with the wording under the tree which my partner really liked so wondering if you can place the wording under the line too?

Can you please keep the fruits and its colour as I really like that?

Thanks so much for your efforts so far.

Hi again,

Also, with the letter i in inspired, instead of using the dot, have your leaf as the dot instead, on angle.

That would be awesome, thanks

Logo Designer
thanks for the feedback! and direction!

re: the leaf over the i (since one designer already has it over the second, that's considered a unique design element that i can't copy, but since noone has used it over the first one, i am able to do that.

Hi C,

thank you for your prompt response and new designs. I really like #60, thank you very much.

Gee I think I may have then made a boo boo as I was unaware of the 'unique design' bit, thank you for bringing that to my attention!
We liked the look of the leaf of design #42 and felt that was a great idea, I did not realise I am not allowed to ask other designers to use a leaf on their designs in that same spot!! I better apologise on my brief, I will do that now!

Thanks again, appreciate it....

Logo Designer
No. If it was in your original brief, that is totally okay. But if it was introduced as a "unique" idea by a designer, before you mention it in your comments, then they can claim it as a "unique" idea/element. Color can't be "owned" or type, but unique ways of using the letters to create a certain thing can be "temporarily owned" for a contest.

Hi C,

No it was not in our original brief, so I am really glad you brought this to my attention as our intentions are to be honest, fair and everyone enjoy the process as all designs are appreciated.
I have just posted a message to make all the designers aware as I hear you and am very grateful.

Cheers

#63 just has a few more added leaves to certain areas.

Hi there,

Just checking, what is the difference between #60 & #63 ?
I cannot really notice from the allowed sizing on the screen?

They are great by the way

Logo Designer
I noted it just above, just a few more leaves in certain areas---no big changes. and 64 has those leaves and a little movement sizing on the underline and it is without the leaf. I will go ahead and do one with the leaf on the first e and the change in the line, as well.

Sometimes little things make a difference sometimes not.

ps: do you have any desire for variations on typestyle?

Logo Designer
PS: I went ahead and withdrew any with a leaf over an i. Though under normal circumstances the protection only lies with the one letter, rather than risk a firestorm at this point, i am just withdrawing any with that idea.

Hi C,
love #73, thank you very much.
I will come back to share my replies with your comments above in the morning as I am stuffed so going to bed, can no longer think!

some of the latter entries have some movement in where the head are, adding a couple and in one case in particular (the center one) moving it to the other side of the branch which makes for a more playful, jubilant figure. Also added the sun in a very small way, as the family/tree grows toward it reaching for it and growing healthy and strong.

Hi C,

I really like your design #82, it is so different and the red/berry colour fruits really have an impact on it.
The sun is a great feature, it enhances it, thanks

I am wondering what it would look like with the font slightly smaller (keeping the same font and colour)

Then copying this amended design and then having the word inspired in your lighter green colour just to see a couple of comparisons, so 2 examples.

Now I think the contest closes in 8 hours, so hopefully you are able to share any updated designs before then.

Thanks again C, I have enjoyed working with you and your creations so far, all is looking great.

Thanks for all the positive words and feedback! I've posted the two adjustments. Let me know if what i did was what you were looking for and/or if you would like any further variations. (Happy to do.)

Hey Carla,

wow, you are quick, thank you!
yep, both are great. I am feeling #92 is more preferable for our commercial reality, even though I am resonating more with #93, I feel that is because I love the red/berry colours and it goes so well with your unique design.

how are you feeling with it all, I am open to your feedback too...

I'm a bit confused since I don't see a number #93 (did you mean 91?)

If you did mean to compare 91 or 92, I think colorwise they both work fine and you should go with the one you most would feel comfortable out there as representing you. Since the more you feel good about what is out there representing you, the more you tend to display or disseminate it: and the more you feel comfortable getting your brand out there, the better.

Let me know if you want me to do anything else with color, size of fonts, number of leaves, formation of tree or anything else.

Hi Carla,

Yes I meant #92, I apologise for the confusion.

I really like your #92, and also wondering what it would look like without the line under the tree, just to see?

cheers

oops i did that to the one with red type. will do the green now. (the difference between the two reds without the line is just the name is tighter to the tree)

ps: 96 just has a few less leaves and some slight changes to branch shape.

Hi there,

love #95, gee it is great work!

any chance of seeing what a line extending out sideways (like the ground) from each of the bottom side of the trunk?

gosh, this is tough, the top 2 are both really really great, and yet so different and unique!! Does this happen much?

Cheers

my partner will be back in a few hours and we will select a final design

Hi Carla,

I wanted to connect with you today as we are finishing up this contest. It has been a pleasure to work with you here working towards our design.
We have received many awesome designs, and have decided to go with design #103 because it is exactly what we had visioned. However our final decision was quite tough as we really very much liked your design, it was an interesting process, the top two are excellent.

So with this I contacted 'support' here as I really felt somewhat strange not acknowledging your efforts with your unique designs, so I asked if I raised the prize money to $350.00, and if $295.00 be paid to the winner and the extra $55.00 could be allocated to you, this way you also gain and keep your designs. Here is Ivan's response. I am wondering how you feel with this arrangement...

Hi Sharon,
Unfortunately, there is not yet a mechanism for that kind of kindness. We do suggest you get the paypal email of the 2nd designer via private message and make a bonus to him/her based on your comment.
Best regards,

Client P1 - The Inspired Family Contest - Help, I am in the judging phase and need assistance

Hi there, Can you help me, I love our first ranking which we will select as the winner, however I also really liked the ranked 2 logo, even thought is was not in our vision radar, and I somewhat feel a bit strange not acknowledging no 2's efforts with her designs, so I am wondering, if I raise the prize money to $350.00, can $295.00 (the original prize money) be paid to no 1 and the extra $55.00 go to no 2? How can I make this work where she gains in some way even though she keeps her designs? Can you provide me with some suggestions? I welcome your feedback.... Cheers

What are your thoughts here Carla?

Sharon,
Although of course I am sad that I wasn't your top choice, I very much appreciate your kind idea of giving me the $55.00 as a consolation prize denoting your positive feelings re: my design and our working together. To that end, If you private message me (as Ivan suggested) through Logo Tournament, (I don't know if you have used the private message feature yet, but it allows you to contact me directly without using the comment section of the entries page, thus keeping information private once the contest ends), I can then private message you back directly with my Paypal email and you can use that email address within paypal to send me the $55.00 directly as Ivan suggested. Of course, that would very much be appreciated, and I would be happy to supply you with that information. I've enjoyed working with you and (in these tough times) would definitely not turn down your offer. Thank you. I will watch for your private message.

I am glad this has proved to be a positive experience for you overall, and glad that you have found a logo that resonates with you, and glad that I have also produced something that you have felt very positive about (both the final piece and the process). And wish you much future success with your "inspired family" .
