#3 and #4. I like the style of the fonts. Definitely like thin fonts better. Would like to see some other thin, elegant fonts with these logos and some variations of the Mark
I like that you use the logo as part of the word in #6, but not satisfied with the overall look and feel. I think the "I" is a little too abstract for use in "insiders". The upside down triangle looks out of place. There is already a dot over the "i" in the doors. And there is too much red.
Overall shape of #6 is good, but need to use a thinner more sleek lettering.
Too much red. I like black, white and darker colors. You are encouraged to use gold too, but a realistic tone of gold, similar to a solid brick. I don't mind a bright color, but just to accent the logo not overpower.
Also, I don't love the door. It is a bit complicated and I don't really see a door unless I know what it is. The door is suppose to form the "I" so there is no need to put a lower case "i" in the middle. If you decide to make an abstract version of the doors, you can just put the mark next to the lettering and include the "I" in "Insiders" instead of replacing the "I" for the mark.
#54 and #24 are both very clean and pleasing to the eye. I just don't think they work for a Las Vegas Luxury Travel Company. The door doesn't look enticing enough. The more and more I'm seeing the doors used, the less I think it can work well. I don't like the doors when they are in a square or rectangle frame. If there is a way to do it without, it'd be better. Otherwise I would shy away from using the doors.
I think the fonts used, while are very clean and elegant, work better for a library/book store or government building. I like how they reflect a little bit though, but would try some other slim fonts.
Try and get in the mindset of upscale Las Vegas. I need a very special logo.
I didn't like the outline letters or Doorway for the "I" on the two I removed.
#81 and 82 try it without Italicizing the print letters, but will probably still need more work beyond that. I don't think I like the red "I". If we have script "s", I don't think the I can be the same font as the rest. Only need one abstract letter I think.
Maybe try and play with the placement of Las Vegas too.
I posted some comments on the main contest page. Definitely take a look.
To clear up what I am saying in the above... I like the font for now, but the little "IN" is very awkward even though it is cool that we are "THE IN" for Vegas and I know what you were going for. So if you can try a similar style as 210 that'd be nice.
Also, I'd like to see a different script font of Las Vegas, don't love that font. Something more classy and blending well with the print text.
I just spoke with one of my VP of Marketing. He said that we will have trouble using your icon on #226 and #227 on merchandise.
I would still like to see what I asked for in the above as they will still be under consideration, but would encourage you to change it up a bit or do a new concept as well.
Keep in mind that it is more important for the logo to look nice on a white background as we will be printing it on linen papers and using a white background for our website.
My questions are: 1. What kind of blue and green do you like best? 2. If I adore to know why #226 and #227 will be trouble to use on merchandise? Colour problem or what.....?
I think you misunderstood the color request. I like the Gold, I wanted to see a version, using the same gold, the new type treatment, and a green mark in the back of the icon as you have it with red in #227.
What I mean by trouble on merchandise, I mean if for example I wanted to put a stitched, condensed (small) version of the icon on a shirt, I may be limited in how small I can go without making the lines on top of each other. I am going to extend the contest 3 days and check on this.
