Hello dear contest holder. I would just like to say that I absolutely admire your business already! I am a dog lover to the very core and was naturally drawn to your contest. I would love to have the privelage of designing for you. I put a lot of thought into this design and paid very close attention to all of your preferences. I would be happy to make any changes you wish to see. I truly believe it would serve you and your business well. It is friendly and inviting and classy, while maintaining a modern appeal and the ability to stand out, make a memorable impression and draw in your target audience. Thank you so much for the opportunity to enter your contest. I wish you GREAT success.

Hi there:
I really did think that I had it narrowed down but then you came along with your great design. I don't know whether to thank you for cuss you!!!!!! Ha ha, Just kidding. I really do like your design. I am going to have my husband look at the designs tonight. As we are planning to use this on a brick red background on the signage, could you show me your entry #146 on a brick red background just so that I can see how it looks. However, I think that from a design standpoint, please keep the white that is in the dog face and in the lettering filling in the word dog. Hope this makes sense. Thanks for your entry. You are very talented and I appreciate your efforts.

Hi Debbie! That is such great news! I am so happy that you like my design. In addition to signage, logo and ads, I can foresee it being a fantastic book cover too! :) Perhaps another endeavour in your future?! :) Here it is on red. It acutally works great and stands out with white trim but also works perfectly in black too. Is there anything else I can do to better suit your needs with my design? I would be so excited to be a part of your team (even if it is in such a small way :)) Thank you so much for your response and your consideration! Im crossing my fingers that my design will strike a chord with your husband! Let me know if there is anything else I can do! My studio also creates stationary layouts, templates, flyer/brochures and anything you can think of - I would be more than happy to include a free business card design for you if you do end up deciding on my logo. In fact I would be happy to create a free business card layout for you whether you choose mine or not. Thanks so much Debbie. I really appreciate your time.

With changes to the typetreatment for another option - From a designer's standpoint, if you really want "Dog" to standout against brick red, the best option would be white. Just another perspective for what it's worth :) Thanks again!

With a more beige tone on "Dog". (Sorry for all of the entries - I am just trying to provide an array of options) I can also adjust any other elements you want to see. Thank you!

Here is another variation with more of an educational/upper class feel. I have also added the tagline here which could be removed/added and edited as needed (for different campaigns etc). Everything ties in well with the border around the top and the text layout - giving it a finished, polished feel.

Here is a new version with a horizontal alignment and a twist on the layout. I have used typetreatments that you seem to be gravitating towards. Thank you!

Here I added a glossy technique to "DOG" which is HUGE in the design industry (referred to as Web 2.0). This helps to give the design a modern appeal and makes "DOG" stand out much more. Thanks again!

Hi Debbie. I wanted to thank you for letting me be a part of this contest. I share your passion for dogs and very much look forward to seeing how your business unfolds. Eventhough it wasn't the winner, If you would like to have my design for future use or to use in other campaigns down the road, I would be happy to send it to you anyways. I hope that at some point it can benefit you in some way or another. It was a pleasure to work with you and I wish you great success.
