What We Do
The Dog Bark is a doggy daycare/boarding/grooming/retail facility where dogs play all day and come home, or spend the night if boarding, tired, better-socialized, and happy.

Color Preferences
My logo will appear in color the vast majority of the time. I will send out very little mail (black and white letterhead). if I can get a logo that looks great in color and in black and white, however, that is perfect.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
I would like our logo to be more sophisticated (but still fun)than those of other doggy daycares (they seem pretty simple). I do not like "paw-prints," or cartoon characters so much. I think the below image of a dog is pretty cool. The other photos are of my own dog having a blast at the dog park and laying on clean laundry in a laundry basket. I think that images of dogs having fun and barking have been the strongest competitors in my perspective thus far. But I am really interested to see other types of images of course, also. As long as the dog appears happy and active, this is the most important to me.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of new entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

Thanks for the entries! They are all very cute, of course :) I like what has already been submitted but I do also hope to see different designs. I am adding two more pictures I love. One is of the Willamette Humane Society logo (although obviously their intent is different than mine and their logo demonstrates that and this would be way too serious probably for my business, it's still cool) and a picture of my own dog (who I love dearly :)). Logos that show a dog playing would be pretty cool, I would think - :)

They are getting better and better!! Thank you all for your entries so far. I am excited to see what else you come up with. I am told by someone who actually knows something about logo design that too much color (especially pastels) and detail will make it difficult to print the logo in black and white and on different materials. So even though I love what has been offered...I'd love to see some that do not rely on light shades and gradients.

And I apologize for not knowing what I wanted right away....I am still learning :) I think I would like my services described on my logo: Daycare-Boarding-Grooming. Of course, I'd like it pretty small but I don't think "The Dog Bark" all by itself is self-explanatory of our services and I am leaning toward the more simple designs.
