One more quick tweak to look at. Can you take the bottom of this and make it round instead of pointed. The "Forging your graphics solutions" can be a little wider and the bottom "frame" can align with the vertical sides so that it looks like one continuous piece in the background. Show me that and I will make a decision. Thanks!
These are awesome and we are very close to being done. Can you raise the top of the background up just a bit so that just the top of his head and the hammer are above it
I'm so sorry, I'm not allowed to promise anything to client during the contest open (LT rules). If you would like to discuss more further, please select me as the winner and then we can communicate through email.
I hope you understand.
My favorite thing about your design is the face/head. Yours is better than the other guy that you are competing with. I know that we are nearly out of time so I am not asking for it now but, If I pick you, can you do some work on his body position. J3RRYs body/arm/hammer angles look more realistic.
And please give me one of the rectangular ones that has a white background.
BTW, I'm not sure how this thing works but I will want a few iterations of this thing. Don't know if one comes with the tournament and then I can buy others from you or what.
When you do the rectangular background, give me one with his head and the hammer slightly above the border and one with him in the border... with maybe only the handle of the hammer sticking out.
You have been quiet for quite some time and your competitor has overtaken you in this contest with his attention to detail. You were by and far my favorite for a long time and you seem to have lost interest. Don't let someone else come back at the last minute and take this from you. BTW, how hard would it be to turn this around and make the Signsmith (Sean) right handed? Maybe a white background behind "The Carolina Sighsmith" would make it stand out more when printed in smaller format. THis thing will be on the door of my business and on the wall inside and on the side of my company truck and on my shirt and on my business card. It has to pop and stand out on all sizes and on all materials. We are down to the wire so give me your best work.
Also, the eyes are a little strange. If I blow this logo up large and plaster it on the side of my truck and on the front of my building, the eyes are going to look very odd. Maybe more down angle of the head so that the pupils of the eyes are not really noticeable. Not sure how to explain it but he needs to be looking down at the work a little more so that the eyes aren't prominent. Message me back if you don't quite understand what I am talking about and want to discuss.
Can you make the outline border on this one blue above the word Signsmith? Or, what if you were to fade from red to blue (going clockwise from the left side of Signsmith) and then back from blue to red. Sort of the opposite of the color transition that is in the background.
This is very strong! In the white/blue contrast of the background, move it a shade more white. I don't want to "lighten" the blue, I like the bold color. Just enhance the white a little bit.
A couple little things. The word "Signsmith" is pretty hard to read. Is there a way to make it a little more ledgible? Some of the other versions submitted by other people are a little more readable. Maybe spreading out the letters of finding a slightly softer Old English font where the letters have a little more separation between them. This is my brand and company name and I just want it as readable as possible.
Also, my marketing person suggested that you add some "gradient" to the blue backing to soften it a touch.
OK, I think that we are VERY close. Make one more little tweak for me. Use the font for "THE CAROLINA" from image 34 with the face and "SIGNSMITH" from image 38 (this one) and I think that we are there!!
You just keep making this thing better with every iteration. The entire family loves this but my youngest son wants to see this one where the word "Signsmith" is solid dark blue. I like the the two-toned version but I'd like to see the two side by side. One more thing. I don't completely love the font for "The Carolina". Can you find something that looks more "forged" or typeset? Like, 200 years ago, a dude would be stamping letters into a sheet of metal. Poke around and see if you can come up with something.
And if the Signsmith is red, should the tag line below it be with a blue background? And, should "The Carolina" be outlined in red if Signsmith is red? Thoughts?
I like the shirt/background color combo on this one and the larger lettering. Can you make this color/lettering scheme with the anvil/body proportion relationship that is submission #16?
This is moving rapidly in the direction of awesome!! I'd like to see this one with the shirt and background colors reversed... blue background, red shirt.
Great first start! You hit on all of the elements of my description. You're the leader out of the gate. The Signsmith dude's head is a little disproportionate versus the body and I'd like to see additional work done to the face. Again, this is a caricature of my son so take some artistic license with a more manly beard and sharpening up the details.
