What We Do
We are a global denomination of Christian churches, rooted in strong anabaptist & pietist traditions, marked by our unusual commitment to radical togetherness and unwavering desire to actually live lives as Christ did, in a community.
Color Preferences
Our colors should be true to our simplicity, not over the top or flashy. We are wide open on choices of colors, but traditionally have used muted earth tones, and pops of burnt orange, maroon or even a muted turquoise.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
I am attaching two logo files. One, the round seal, is our last officially sanctioned logo, in 1957. Our hope is that you'll give us a fresh rendering, more modern and more usable in a variety of applications and usages. The elements that are there need to remain, but feel free to re-design, re arrange, or even try something new, if you like.
The Cross represents our universal Christianity with all other christians and the collective work of grace Jesus did for all on the cross. The fruit (which does NOT have to remain grapes, necessarily) represents our early founders commitment to living a Christian life that was notably bearing fruit - it ACTUALLY looked like Jesus. The Bible represents our commitment to scripture, and finally the heart with "Go Ye" represents our desire to make disciples.
The second file is our current word mark. The font is Kameron. We are open to a combo logo, the combines the words "The Brethren Church" in Kameron, and the re-designed seal.
