#108.- Clean and symmetrical, yet bold for distance viewing. #106 | #103 - icons that work great in social media #105| #105 | #107 - Different takes on the classic roofline.
Thanks so much! Why do you say that 106 and 103 are great for social media? I do like the different takes on the roofline, that has been my only holdback on the roofs is that everyone has that....
They work great as social media icons. It would be what people see on facebook...twitter etc. It also gives you a standalone logo. I can submit more of this style, but would have to be one of the top 5 designers ranked to continue as per the rules of the Top 5 phase.
Are you a KW agent? I ask because of the colors. I have over 2 dozen KW clients.
I am a KW agent! I like your style, yet if I choose you as one of the top 5, I don't want to have the same house logo that everyone else has, I want to distinguish myself ....just something to think about....

I just noticed you're in Charlotte. (I'm in Wilmington!) Knowing that.... I took a twist on a southern classic, and went with a simple front porch icon. (it still works well as a facebook/twitter icon, and lays out vertically and horizontally to make it more versatile.
It says "welcome home"...without screaming it like the more cliched house logo's my.
Thanks so much! I like the porch idea! And now I get the Charlotte in the background, I questioned that when I first saw it. Glad you understand! If I put some in the Non interesting box, don't take offense, I just have a lot of designs and need to organize the ones I like and don't, but keeping some of yours at the top......
Sorry been AWOL with work, not sure I like the latter ones, looked a bit Grecian at first? I need to get some input from friends. This is overwhelming. Like the house with city but may be too busy, like simplicity go the porch but not sure if it tells anything about me. More today, need to get exercise so can think clearly
Still thinking, how else can we use the skyline without the house too? Saw one in googling that had a key and the indentions in the key were the skyline?
You know what I saw from the KW links was that everyone was houses....I want to be different although I'm in real estate and that's what we are about! I like door concepts, something welcoming, or I found a cool key on pinterest that had the city as it's "teeth". Granted it was India but hey, I got the concept.
No offense but I would take out the door, when I saw it, I saw PacMan (you may be too young to get that! ) I also found one from India on Pinterest that was an old elegant key and it was turned the other way so the city was sticking up as the teeth.... I went on a limb and put several of my favorites on Facebook, your 117 is getting raves, but they wanted some green....especially since Charlotte is so green. So then I thought, what about instead of a house, if there was a big oak tree, and the skyline behind it? You all are going to kill me before this is done! :-)
Beth - Just saw the facebook post. Even though mine may be getting the most love, I have to be honest in telling you that the displaying is a violation of site rules. As designers we own the copyright on the logos until ownership is transferred by the selected winner. They are only permitted to be viewed within this site.
What concerns me also is that people are asking you to combine ideas. This also is a problem as a contest holder is not permitted to ask a designer to use ANY pieces of another designers work.
I appreciate the kind words there, but I would be amiss in not mentioning the rules.
Hey Beth, Just thinking out loud....an option to keep your focus group in the loop could be to link them to your contest via a facebook post...They could then comment on their fave, without you actually posting the images.
Good idea, will do that....according to my site, the contest ends today....so now I'm really narrowing down. Can you just humor me once more and try with a tree in place of the house?
Okay two things...one is the tree in place of the house :-) Two, can you do this in B&W so I can see what that would look like too? I didn't think about the fact that in some circumstances color won't be used....for instance I'm sponsoring an event on a tshirt and artwork has to be in B&W
To clarify. You do not have to select a winner today. You get a judging phase. During that phase you can allow any designer in the No. 1 spot to make changes. You can rotate different designers into that spot to allow them to make changes. This buys you more time to decide should you need it. Judging phase last for 7 days I believe.
not crazy about the house and the tree, was hoping for something like the house on the right and skyline on left but instead of a house have a tree? The tree with the tire swing definitely says South! :-)
A little tool that I always recommend is to step back several feet from your computer. Look for the designs that remain clear. Now imagine seeing your signs from a distance down a street. The bold designs often work well in this regard.
I think some of my earlier designs failed this test. I think the tree skyline combo actually nails this, as does the house/skyline combo.
Good point, thank you! I've taken a step back for a couple of days to give my brain ( and the designers! :-) ) a break, will go back to it tonight and take your advice.
I'm still hanging in there, feel as if we need something more compact. I looked at a few of your other designs and like the enclosed circle designs, etc. This is throwing something out, but what would it look like if you left out the Beth and just did Smith Shuey team? Would that help?
