What We Do
TG Therapeutics is a pharmaceutical company that develops novel, targeted agents for treating blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma. The logo is needed for our first big Phase III trial that we are considering naming "GENUINE" - GENUINE - GlycoEngineered Novel Ublituximab plus Ibrutinib giving high risk CLL patients NEw options
Industry
Medical
Color Preferences
While we are open to variation, it will go on materials that are the company colors so I recommend using blue(PMS 661C) and green (PMS 376C) as the base colors - alternate blue is PMS 2766C
Our Ideas & Additional Information
11/6 update: I am attaching a new piece of art we are designing to show where the drugs work for inspiration on adding an innovative science angle but keep simple. . See Pathway Graphic with circled areas (the Purple arrow is where the U drug works and the Yellow arrow is where the I drug works in the BCR pathway on BTK. Ublituximab works as an anti CD20 antibody (look at shapes or info about that), it also is engineered which means it has a higher rate of NK cells inducing cell death. Lots of great images, videos if you google and search BTK or antiCD20 antibody. Video clip also to view at www.bcellsignals.com

Original notes: I will attach the draft advertorial for the trial. There is a placeholder name and logo in the upper right hand side where the GENUINE logo will go. I will attach our company logo. More information on the company and the drugs is available at the website www.tgtherapeutics.com

UPDATE on 11/5/14: General Feedback for all designers based on a team meeting yesterday: For GENUINE, we liked a lot of the designs but there was no real frontrunners, so we have a few comments as you refine or add designs. 1. I emphasized the importance of the "U", the team would like to see better use of the "U" and the "I" since they are a novel drug combination and that the letter sit next to each other. For example, maybe they are taller or more prominent without losing sight of the word genuine when you look at it. 2. The team likes to add the company name but not the website. 2. There is an overall suggestion to keep it simple but also add some science into the logos. Ublituximab works as an anti CD20 antibody (look at shapes or info about that), it also is engineered which means it has a higher rate of NK cells inducing cell death. 3. Still do not want to lose sight of the U being the most important but also the combo of U and I (still shoild be able to read the word. .

Hi Cavemom,

I would like a clarification. You declared you owned the attachment:

301 Recruitment Draft - Green - RUBICON.pptx, 231KB

As I see it, your contest (https://logotournament.com/contests/tg_therapeutics) from which you took the image/logo placed on the top right corner is not completed. If that contest is still in Judging mode, you DO NOT own any submissions.

I suggest you complete the first contest before declaring ownership of any logos submitted. As far as I know, it is illegal to claim copyright when you don't actually own it.

Regards,
Andrei

Same comment here. See updated brief with basic attachment. It was only a placeholder to show how the winning logo will be used.

Thank you to all entrants so far. There are so many great ideas already. We are a small biotech and have not been able to meet to review the entries to help me with the rankings and feedback. You will see that we have 3 contests running. This is because we expect to have more than one Phase III trial and company management requested the ability to see 2-3 concepts to select from for the first trial. All three contests will be awarded a winner and I anticipate using them for the trials. However, they are running in parallel to allow the CEO and COO to weigh in on the process while the decision are being made. I hope you understand and will be patient with me for feedback. We will be reviewing the designs as a group tomorrow in New York where I will be able to give very specific feedback, rankings and follow up for the ongoing process. Thanks again and look for updated feedback and guidance after Tuesday evening NYC time. Amy

Thanks for clarifying about the 3 simultaneous contests. Designers appreciate understanding what's happening.

General Feedback for all designers based on a team meeting yesterday: For GENUINE, we liked a lot of the designs but there was no real frontrunners, so we have a few comments as you refine or add designs. I will also go into as many of the designs as possible to give specific feedback. 1. Although I emphasized the importance of the "U" for this, the team doesn't LOVE the name GENUINE as much as others so they would like to see better use of the "U" and the "I" since they are a novel drug combination and that the letter sit next to each other. For example, maybe they are taller or more prominent without losing sight of the word genuine when you look at it. 2. The team likes the ability to add the company name but not the website. 2. There is an overall suggestion to keep it simple but also add some science into the logos. I cannot attach examples because I do not own the material, but we suggest that Ublituximab works as an anti CD20 antibody (look at shapes or info about that), it also is engineered which means it has a higher rate of NK cells inducing cell death. 3. Still do not want to lose sight of the U being the most important.

WOW WOW WOW...latest entries are REALLY evolving and advancing. Almost all designs are taking the feedback into account. Please re-read the above notes for specific feedback. Liking the science focus more than the hexagon.

So many new things just came in while I was on a 5 hour plane ride. I have to go to sleep and have asked to extend this for another 24-36 hours. Note the feedback above and how the rankings have shifted. I will be able to give it much more attention on Thursday here. Amy

See brief - I tried to update and clarify. I also added a new file and notes on science background for reference. See educational video at www.bcellsignals.com for more detail on these drugs.

I asked for an extension and somehow things are backwards - or got applied to the wrong contests. I have 3 contests for TG Therapeutics. For RUBICON, I already selected a winner (on Friday?) and today it was re-opened. I have gone in an ended it early and selected the winner again.

However, for UNITY and GENUINE, they were the ones to be extended in open phase by 24-36 hours. The open phase should have JUST ended this morning and be in Top 5 mode. However, it fast forwarded to judging and says to select a winner now. I am just ranking the top 5 after getting team feedback over the weekend. I have asked for BOTH contests - UNITY and GENUINE - to be set back to the top 5 mode? Thank you - Amy

Great ideas. We have a mix of opinions with lots of different ideas. Feedback for new entries were:

A blue logo may look like another company called Genentech / or like a Genentech-sponsored trial. Would you consider ideas with the trial name in green with blue accents?

The designs seem to be very similar fonts without much variation. Not sure if there is time, but it may be worthwhile to see some other options besides heavy block type?

The feedback from the team in friend feedback for the top 5 was very diverse. All over the place with no one clear lead. I encourage the top 5 to submit 1-2 more entries. I will send some individual feedback to guide but my Dad passed away yesterday and I have asked to extend for a day or two more. I hope you all understand. I can't deal with this today and want to get it done right. .

I didn't get specific comments to help but see the others that are top 5 and even in top 20.

Hi All,

The client must temporarily step away from the contest to deal with an important family issue. Please do not contact her until she resumes the contest. Anyone who has pending feedback can submit entries during the Top 5.
