Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ You, the Client, are very important! Your active participation is the single greatest factor influencing this contest. Active participation by you, the Client, helps you get the logo design you want!
~~ What's active participation? It's updating the brief with more information for Designers to work with as the contest progresses, providing feedback to Designers on their entries when they're submitted, and ranking designs at least once a day.
~~ When you provide feedback to Designers, you increase the chances of getting the logo you want. More feedback = better results!
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion.
~~ Rank designs at least once each day -- this will encourage Designers to submit more entries!
~~ Ranking prevents your contest from going idle! Active contests attract more Designers.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed. Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Please note: if you're asking for a design that will require several hours to create, to attract Designers willing to invest that amount of time the prize should be at least $400-$500. All "Character" style logos fall into this category.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested." We'd like to know what you don't want so we can give you the design you do want.
~~ The first phase of the contest is the "Open" phase, and everyone can submit during that time.
~~ After your contest's initial "Open" phase closes, it will enter the "Top 5" phase; only the top 5 ranked Designers will be able to submit revisions at that time.
~~ The "Top 5" Designers are the first 5 Designers in a contest, not the first 5 designs.
~~ When "Top 5" ends, the "Judging" phase begins. The Designer of the 1st place design will be the only Designer who can submit revisions at that time.

To all: We have a change of direction in the logo design. Our Board has decided to retain the original Team logo (posted under our profile) and has asked for variations in the look, color and texture of the finished product. Finishes such as metallic, brushed aluminum, chrome, cast iron, etc with varying colors.

It is kind of late in the contest that you decide to go another way. Firstly because designers worked on new concepts and secondly because your contest is in Top5 Phase which means that only the first 5 ranked designers can submit more entries thus having a shot at the 1st place.

Does this mean that the time and work already committed by those of us in the top 5 is no longer in consideration?
There are only a few ways to change a dated logo. It will end up with a million look-a-likes going forward I'm afraid.

Ilikethe direction you are going. Can you add some dimension / depth to eh appearance. Maybe rounded sides with shadow? Also, take a look at the entry ranked #6 and note the jagges line in the logo. To all of you who presented unique and innovative designs, I appreciate the level of effort you put into each logo. I apologize for the late change in direction on behalf of our BOD. Since this is my / our first time using the tournament, and given the recent change, I'm not sure how flexible the rules are for non-top 5 entries at this stage.

Tilly - I agree with you 100%, What I'm asking for is a way to introduce a subtle change to perhaps give it a more progressive look.

Todd - Please consider allowing the top 5 designers alone, to continue with the new direction. It would be some compensation for their previous hard work on your project. If you cant find a suitable logo from that group, only then would you need to ask admin for an extension.

Tilly - I agree with you. So far only three of the top 5 ranked designers have submitted new logo designs. I welcome your input.

Todd - You must rank 5 different designers. By unranking everyone you closed it off to anyone unranked. The ones who are entered now entered their selections before you unranked the rest. Please rank 5 designers. (Not 5 designs)
