Color Preferences
Maybe Green for the Tamarack Tree or perhaps Orange for the tree and green and/or black letting "Tamarack Consulting, LLC"...I don't know...I'm not much of an artist but want the logo to radiate creativity yet look professionally done. I'm certainly open to various suggestions and color schemes.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
I'm thinking an absract tree-ish symbol as a logo with text "Tamarack Consulting, LLC". I'm not looking for a "clip art" looking tree...but more of a true artistic abstract representation of a Tamarack Tree - something that really provokes thought and perhaps even requires thought to realize that it's truly a tree that they are looking at in the logo.

I would like for designers to spend a few minutes researching and learning about about the characteristics (particularly the strengths) of the Tamarack Tree. It would be wonderful if artists could bring these living traits of the Tamarack Tree ALIVE in the logo.

For example:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larix_laricina
http://home.howstuffworks.com/tamarack-tree.htm

When my sister and I were children, once a year our parents brought us to a place in the mountains of California called Tamarack Creek. Those times now represent some of our fondest childhood memories. We felt free to learn and run and play amongst the trees and in the creek. We fished with sticks and string and built campires using rocks to form the perimeter and wood pieces from the surrounding forest as a souce of heat upon which we cooked freshly caught trout from the creek.

The logo should convey fun, adventure, creativity, strength and a sense of pioneering the unknown. Feel free to utilize whatever colors that you as an artist need to in order to covey these senses in your artistic expression. Good Luck!

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of new entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.
