I tried to depict S by using little quads,

interesting idea to use the quads to form an S. I must admit I didn't see it until I read your comment. I like 5 as the best of your 3 submissions--a bit more solid, a bit more strength and depth--although I haven't discussed it with the partners.

Can you do a variation on #19 where software is center justified under Syncopation? And a second variation where SYNCOPATION is all caps (with software center justified underneath)? If you consider either of these requests as using an element from another designer, please let me know.

hi Wookasheen, we like a lot of your designs! We have some requests for changes we'd be interested to see:

#5
- could you try centering and justifying the word 'software' under Syncopation?
- try different colors, a bit stronger?
- we are concerned about the overlapping translucent colors creating additional colors, in terms of printing and costs. do you have any comments about that?
- could you try making the squares into rectangles?
- in a separate iteration,m could you also try putting the rectangles above Syncopation, so it is a 3-line design?
- can you show us how the logo would render in B&W?

#19
- could you try changing the font? Try an all-caps font for Syncopation
- could you apply more kerning to "software" so that it occupies more horizontal space (but not completely justified)? We are interested to see an equivalent amount of whitespace in the upper left and lower right corners of the logo
- could you try having a much lighter presence to the word 'software'?
- could we see 'Syncopation' in a different font that does not have overlapping letters?
- could you try stronger colors please?

thank you for great feedback. I hope I understood you. I put the rectangles and dropped overlapping colors. Clean and crisp!

Hi Wookasheen,

Thanks for the variations. Can I ask for one more variation on #50? Could you make SYNCOPATION slightly larger, software slightly smaller, left align software with SYNCOPATION and make the overall height of the text closer to the height of the quads with s in them? Thanks again!

Like the overall look of #66, but the font is a bit space-age. Can we try a variation with a font like the one in #49? Thanks.

This one have strong 3d illusion.. If you look it closer its almost like simplified Esher drawing... It symbolize that things in front and in the back are united.

you should always think about future usability of the logo, one of important aspects is logo ability to be used very small and still to be recognizable. this entry shows how my logo can be used really small, for example as favicon....
