#8 - #12: I like the badge/crest design. I would like to see "Stillwater Armory" more closely associated instead of broken apart. I'm not a fan of the font, especially the "A" within that font. Perhaps a font with more edginess to it. I like the concept of the bullet in place of the "i" but since there aren't more "i's" in the name, I think it kind of gets lost. If the stars are to remain, I would like them to be the same color as the lettering or even the background behind the gun. Overall, would like to see a little more edginess to the design.
#8 - Like the black background. I would like to see the gun in all gray with the same type shadowing/effect as the partial gun currently has.
#9 - I like the black gun. I would like the gray background to have more of a steel appearance rather than gray (maybe a steel look like the gun in #8).
I really like the black and metallic color scheme. I like the use of the two stars on each side. Overall look is pretty good. I like the crosshair in the middle of the patch but I do not like the bullets along the bottom...too video game like.
The logo needs more agressive edginess to it and I would like to incorporate a company logo (See General Comments on main page).
Definately need something in the middle of the patch but I'm not a fan of the two pistols. Whether that be your take on an "SA" logo or some of the other thoughts I've had to depict "Defense".
Not an absolute must have but also think along the lines of being able to seperate the logo into parts. One portion could be used for times when I need a long logo such as letterhead across an entire page while the logo combined is more square for use on shirt pockets or baseball caps. Again, not critical and I would rather have one really great logo than a so-so logo that has the ability to seperate.
Thanks so much for your efforts and I can't see what you have next. This is very exciting to see your creative mind at work.
#32 - #34 The firearm used looks a little cartoonish. It appears there are two barrells on that gun??? Doesn't make sense.
I know there's probably no way for you to know this but the grip shown is what we call a "Cup and Saucer" grip and its a terrible firearms grip. I couldn't portray a terrible fundamental in my logo.
The hands appear to be different colors???
The rings behind the gun give it a target appearance. I don't want us to portray target shooting. We are about self-defense.
I'm sorry. I truly appreciate your effort but these just didn't do it for me. I would love to see you do some more designs because I think we were getting pretty close on some of them like #28. Just needing to add some aggressive edge to the logo.
Again, thank you so much for your efforts and I can't wait to see what you have next. Thank you!
This design puts me in mind of a Roman emperor. I like it. Here's a though I had but I'll let you run with it. Drop the guns in the design and replace with a Spartan Helmet. Nothing says strong defense like the thought of the Battle of Thermopylae. Keep the Roman scroll work at your discretion. Separate the SA instead of having the letters hooked together.
I'm still not a fan of the single bullet being used as an "i".
I think your logo is the classiest of all the designs presented and I like that class. If we could keep the classiness of the logo but do a little something to give it a little more aggression, it might be great. Maybe that aggression can come from what's in the center of the design...perhaps the helmet.
Thank you very much for your efforts and I think we're back on the right track with this design. I can't wait to see how you tweak this logo.
#60 - I like the WWII helmet and this is my favorite color scheme of the new batch. Any other ideas about what you could put in the center of the logo where the WWII helmet currently resides? Spartan Helmet? Crossed Infantry Muskets? Maybe the single gun used in #8 but use the entire gun and have the entire gun be that brushed silver? Crossed spears or bayonets? Maybe move the SA on top of the crossed spears?
#97 - Yes! I have nothing that I would ask to change. This is a definite front-runner. How do you think this will translate into embroidery? Is there a concern the detail of the eagle will be lost or the small type along the bottom won't be readable?
If you have any other ideas, thoughts, or variations, please put them up.
#99 - #100 - Cool be too military. Most of our students are private citizens with a smattering of law enforcement. Again, thanks for the continued ideas and keep them coming. I think you have a great design that could only get better.
#116 - I like the thought but not a fan of this particular design. Thanks for the continued ideas.
#97 - I still really like the eagle. Can the eagle be flying directly towards you with wings extended and talons extended towards you? I think that might be a very cool and aggressive design if done properly.
I don't want to suggest too much in terms of design elements as that only seems to get in your way but the eagle coming at you might be very nice????
#119 - YES! I love it. I really like the white head. I don't know if you have any other ideas that could make this better but this is a definite contender! Maybe twist the wings just slightly to give them a little more natural look like the eagle is flaring out right before hitting his prey.
Thank you for the great design. This is just marvelous. You're amazing.
#158 - I like it. Another very strong contender. I like that it takes the aggression down just a notch but I miss all the silver and black highlights in the wing area. Very strong entry. You are truly talented. Thank you.
#217 & #218 - I like very much. You are definitely the leader.
#216 - I like this close-up very much. What I had in mind was truly just a close-up of the eagle as you currently have it drawn but with no borders. Imagine the close-up that was taken down but instead of filling the square, it was just in open space and did not form any geometric shape.
I love your logo and if the contest ended right now, would be my choice. There's some other great entries but yours remains #1
#139 & #137 - I love the designs and I love the suite of designs you have. I've really been studying your logo and trying to figure out how it could be even better. I've decided the lettering is a little hard to read where it gets really dark like in "Firearms" at the lower left side.
Is it possible to emboss all the lettering so it looks like it stands out from the badge? That might be a really neat look.
