Hello,
Here's my first entry for your logo. Please let me know if there is anything you might want changed. I'd be happy to make any adjustments you might want.
Thanks for the invitation!

A variation on my first entry.

#109 - Wow, what a first entry. Thank you so much for your efforts.

I like the blue in the logo but I'm not crazy about it.

I'm not a fan of the stars, they look a little soft.

I love the rivets on the shield.

The first thing I thought of was "Wow, what a great place to have an eagle coming directly at you with its talons straight out." It would be a very aggressive look like the eagle was getting ready to snatch you.

I like the general shape of the shield but it kind of smashes "Firearms & Training".

#108 - I don't like this one as well. I love that you worked the "slogan" in there but I'm not crazy about the scroll work covering the shield.

I don't like the stars around the scroll.

By necessity, this one lost one of my favorite aspects of #109 - the rivets holding the logo to the shield. If possible, I would love to keep those rivets in the design.

The more I look at the bird, the more I think "Is that a raven or hawk just flying around in the sky?" I definitely want some kind of image in there, whether it be an aggressive eagle or something entirely different, but I'm not a fan of the current image - it's OK, just not a huge fan.

Variation on #109, omitting the blue and the bird. Will post another with the eagle facing forward when I get it finished.

#156 - I really like your designs. What would the shield look like with longer "ears" or "points" trailing back from the shield? The kind of have that bent back look now and I just wonder if that was extended it might give it a cool and aggressive 3D look.

I still think drop the stars around Stillwater Armory.

I can't wait to see the design with the eagle coming at me.

#157 - I like the simplicity of the design. I think it could become even more simple. Drop the SA and the rivets from the black portion and center the name tag that is bolted on. I like the way the slogans work into the design. Not sure about the different colors and font size from the one on top to the one on bottom. If you could get it even more simple but then add that touch of aggression to the logo, I think we might really have something.

I think both of these designs have serious merit. Thank you!

The circular designs are just missing something. I really would like to see some variations of the shield and the image on the shield. I was excited where we were heading with that train of thought.

Hi,
Extended the points on the shield, and put in the eagle facing forward. Will post more options with variations on the eagle. Please let me know if you want it more stylized, or more metallic. Please advise also if you want the points extended even more.
Thanks!

#207 - I really like this.
I like the extended points - it gives the shield a more aggressive look. I think you could extend them more but at some point it will start to look a little silly - don't know where that point is.

I like the eagle in this logo. I would say this is just about the right mix of stylized metallic and realism.

I think I would like to see the logo without the stripes on the bottom of the shield.

This is GREAT. Thank you so much for you work and I look forward to seeing some other options.

Extended points a little more. Dropped the stripes. Please let me know if you want more black. was trying to avoid too much black because it's going on black garments, but I see the first ranked design is pretty much black. Please advise. Thanks! : )

Beefed up FIREARMS & TRAINING. Changed background a little behind eagle. Added : TRAIN, DEFEND, LIVE.

#219 - I like it a lot. I love what you've done with it. I wouldn't change any of the major components. I would like it to be a little tougher or more aggressive. Its a definite contender.

Extended points again & widened them ever so slightly to avoid a dip in the contour. Darkened background and reversed type out. Added a layer of feathers to eagle's wings. More aggressive? or do you want something more done to achieve that? Just let me know!

#223 - YES! I LOVE THE EAGLE!

#223 - Let's work on the shield shape and the rivets a little. The shield is starting to look like a cat face with a smile. I like the rivets just fine, but they don't appear to serve any real mechanical function. I like when the shields look like their two pieces with one bolted onto the other so the rivets actually "appear" to serve a purpose.

You have vaulted to the ranks of very serious contender with this. THANK YOU!

I'll work on the shield & the rivets, just need to know exactly what you want me to do. Diminish the points? Get rid of the rivets? Or change the shape of the shield completely? Please advise. Thanks!

Dropped the rivets, changed the extensions on the shield, changed the background behind the eagle to be the same as the top section. Let me know if you want any other changes. Thanks for the feedback!

Lighter name band.

#238 - I like the lighter name band. Maybe put the bolts on it to make it look like the name is bolted to the shield. We lost the aggression when we lost the points. Maybe sweep them back more instead of pointing them up.

Points back, but they look less like ears now. Rivets back. Have to leave for an appointment now. Let me know if you need anything else changed.
Thanks!

Thanks Pam,

The only other thought I had was to remove the "&" in Firearms and Training. That portion of the shield could bear a small Christian cross and the bottom post of the cross could serve as the separation between the two words.

Here's the logo with the curved type, the cross added and the eagle enlarged. Please let me know if you want the eagle even larger. I didn't want to enlarge it too much because it's already busting up into the nameband, and I didn't want the feet to go into the shield border. Do you agree?
Let me know if you want anything else done to this.
Next post will be this design on black background.

2 color for screen print or easy embroidery. Actually, the embroidery could be a cross between this and the actual logo, because they can do some simple shading/gradients with embroidery.
