#2 Thank you very much for the design. I like the font and gray used in the company name pretty well. Perhaps the handgun could be smaller with Stillwater Armory over the top and the tag line in the area below the barrel/trigger????
I do like the bit of edginess to the font but I would like to take that edginess of the font and add additional characteristics that would give the design more sophistication and professionalism.
Think SWAT, Army Rangers, Special Forces official logos redesigned by "guys in the field" to give their official logos a little more edge.
#3 - I would like to see something similar with less emphasis on the gun and maybe even see the gun in more realistic appearance instead of flag draped. I do not dislike the flag-draped gun, just maybe not see it standing out so much.
#19 & #20 Really like these a lot. Love the slogan and the Latin. Love the "Stillwater Armory" and the plaques hanging below it. I'm concerned that the small print wouldn't translate very well into embroidery onto a shirt pocket or baseball cap. Maybe drop the second hanging plaque and put some sort of cool seperator between "Firearms Training" so it reads "Firearms *-* Training" I like the slogan better than the crossed rifles. The one thing I don't like is the font of SA. I like the edginess of the font but not that particular font. Love the black background but a bunch of our shirts are black so it will need a steel gray border or something - keep the black background.
Altered the font for the SA, removed the 'ammo n gear' plaque, upped the size of the font on the slogan, changed the edging to a faded 'steel grey' and placed a small seperator between firearms and training.
Also did one with a black background so you can see what it looks like.
thanks for the feedback, very helpfull and always welcomed.
Here's what I'm thinking. The "Stillwater Armory" with the hanging plaque would make a fantastic letterhead or logo anytime I needed something long to stretch across a page. Showing it bolted over the round patch makes a great square logo. This is ideal as it hits both of my needs moving forward.
As for the changes, you followed my requests exactly and I don't like it as well as #20. Shows who has the design process well in hand - you. I'm going to try a little different approach as your skill and design process continually beats my thoughts.
Likes: Overall appearance Versatility of the logo - HUGE bonus Use of slogans - especially the use of Latin The strength and toughness the logo conveys I like having the "SA" but its not a must-have ingredient. This is really, really good!
Areas I'm Not Crazy About: The bottom area of the patch looks empty when compared to the upper area that looks kind of cramped. Still not crazy about the SA font although its certainly headed in the right direction. I like the actual translated Latin Phrase and the English slogan but neither one is "IT". Maybe some different options of both or use of just Latin in a longer phrase?
Slightly differant design based on your thoughts of a tactical shooting position. Cleaned up and spaced out to even the space on the patch/logo. New slogan "Trained for Life" - simple and straight.
#23 - Love it. Really like the metallic almost Terminator look to the shooter. Mmight want to see it slightly more agressive and "mean". Don't go too far with that "mean" where it looks silly - we're professionals. I agree with the thought process of block coloring of the shooter to make the co. name stand out more but I love the metallic look and wouldn't want to get away from that. Any other options for making the name stand out? I like the plaque over the shooter so I don't know that I would want to get away from that. Like the new slogan as well.
Love: Overall Look Metallis shooter - maybe even make more agressive Plaque over the shooter
Like: Slogans - Still haven't found that "IT" but close. Color of font on slogans - I agree it needs to be different than the metallic but...
#23 - Comments are above but I have to tell you that I'm the most excited to see where you take this design next. Awaiting your newest version of this has me on the edge of my seat in anticipation to see where you take what I've dubbed "The Terminator".
