#1 Cool! I love seeing both joy as from children as well as the clock as an element related to the business. Will the clock scale well to a small size on a business card, for example, or might it then to be hard to recognize as a clock? My colleague would like to see what it would look like without the reflection, if that would be easy enough to show. I'm really delighted with this initial entry. It is a great start to our contest. Thanks violet!

Thanks for the feedback. #4 is the logo without the reflection. The logo can reduce down for a business card to 1.2" wide and still look good.

Also I designed the clock hands in a way that if someone doesn't recognize it as a clock immediately, it looks like a check mark which also works well with what staytrak does.

This is another version, with just the gradient.

My own opinion right now is that #4 and #5 are terrific, but others are now thinking that the upper camelcase "StayTrak" instead of "staytrak" would better align with the way we typically write the name of the software.

For #6 is there anything specific some in your group don't like about it? It'll help me focus on a way to improve it. Thanks.

#6 is either still our favorite or second favorite. We do not like that with the capital T it seems to be in conflict with the Y. Is there something you can do that you think would alleviated that little issue? Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback. Here are some other options.

#49 meets the specs on this but it is not as attractive to me as #6 so I kept #6 ahead of it, but either one is a possible winner at this point. #50 has its charm too. Thanks!

Comments I have received on #6 and #49 is that they are a bit too simple -- the professional graphic designers consulted did not think these showed them the complexity they would like to see even in (perhaps especially in) a simple logo. I also got some of the same feedback on these as I did on most others -- that the font is not female-friendly enough. I am not sure what to do about that, but thought I would pass it along. These still make it into our final set of options, but I do not think they will end up getting picked for these reasons. The idea of the joy of the child in the Y and the clock face in the a are good ones, however, so perhaps there is more that can be done? Thanks.

#6 Thanks, I really appreciate you passing along that info. I'll try to think if there is another way, not following these current designs to capture the parts that your group feel captures the essence of StayTrak.

I don't know if I can get an entry in time, but I'll try. In the meantime good luck :)
Thanks Violet

So I've been thinking about the feedback from yesterday, and submitting an entry that takes a different route. The idea behind it is the saying "keeping your ducks in a row", which, to me, fit StayTrak. Also thought the ducks are something that are associated with kids toys/playing.

#104 is so adorable that I zipped it into the rankings without discussing with anyone else. Thanks violet! I have no idea whether others will take to it, but I love the idea of the ducklings and I think they look great! I have nothing negative to say about this one. I will give it a spin in a graphic at the top of the web page and see how it plays. Thanks!

I love, love, love the ducks in #104, thinking of "Get your ducks in a row with our software" type of mailings, but "Bob the owner" (OK, that would be David) isn't so fond of them. We are keeping this up in the ranks because we like so many things about it, but it will not make the final cut, I'm sure, due to those adorable ducks. I guess we want it to be female-friendly without being too cute for some males (and some females too, I'm guessing). I also think the width of "Stay" is fun, but it is too thick for some folks. Thanks!

Thanks Dawn for all the feedback. I haven't yet been able to think if a way do draw a kid in a minimal manner without it being too cute. So submitting this instead of a less cute duck version. I don't know if the owner is not interested in all about the duck concept, or just didn't like the look, but worth giving a shot.

I love the ducks and #125 is perhaps more professional and not as "cute" as #104, but I still don't think the ducks will play with others. I love the look, however, so if there is something other than ducks that might not seem as cute for a serious software business (that was the concern), please give it another shot. Thanks!
