This was created with the idea of looking into a snow globe type object with the image of a person reaching for the stars shining through. I think it pops off the dark background nicely.
Thanks for your submission. That's a really interesting concept, but I think that the snow globe effect hasn't fully been achieved yet (in reference to #72). I would be interested to see the sphere or globe without the funky looking white coaster for the globe - and maybe with the image a little bigger in proportion to the text. Would like to see a little more color in the image as well - so that it's not just blue and light purple. Thanks a ton!
I think this is a drastic improvement. Much more colorful and alive. What do you think? Its got a subtle gray border only for the reason of getting it too pop of the black background on your site.
#76 and #75 are improvements. I like the color choices. The person looks like a palm tree or a cactus or something to me though, rather than a person. And I'd like for the stars to look a little more dynamic. Still not crazy about the background circle. Could the image just fade out on the sides rather than be encased in the circle? Thanks for your work.
I'll work on something without the border but personally, i think if you don't have it contained in something or have a separation between it and the background then its just gonna look like a photo. I'm sure you'd rather pay for something that you can use across multiple media purposes...
Gave the person a little more definition. Regrouped the stars into a swirl type effect to give them a little more action. Took away the silver border and replaced with a slight glow. What are your thoughts?
I like the glow a lot better than the silver border. I like the regrouping of the stars too. Still not crazy about the person. Would like to see them not as stumpy and with just one hand reaching for the stars rather than two. I don't particularly like the shadow in the bottom left corner. I presume it's there to give a more 3D feel but it looks too much like just a smudge or something to me. Would like to see the colors get a little bit bolder as well and not feel so pastel-y. In general I like your design though and I appreciate your entries!!!
changed the person around to having one arm stretching out. Also bumped up the colors to something more vibrant and less faded. I think thats why you were getting the pastel feeling. I toned downed the bottom left shine a great deal. I still kept it for 3d effect, but at least now it doesn't distract you.
