I am still concerned about the font and it's readability in smaller sizes. (Or maybe I'll have to use the icon only and not use the words for some applications. Would I be able to get the final files with and without the text?)
I love that you didn't stay with my idea germ of the text around the design - it looks better below. Trust your instincts -- That's why you're the artist and I'm the customer.
I am curious if the design will be as powerful with a white background . . . and when I need to print in black/white (grayscale). And something tells me if this were a circle instead of an oval it would have an even more "solid" feel. (But if you try that and it looks terrible don't bother to post it.)
And, if you have other ideas please post them. I like your style.
#65 - It's amazing what a big difference such a small change in the border makes. This is great.
No blue featured in font or as primary color. (See original brief) i.e. #69 & #66:.
#67 & #68 are the same? (or if they are not I can't see the distinction between them).
The new design (#66-70) I like it. The brighter colors are great. And thanks for providing both dark and light backgrounds. But I think I like the previous design better . . .
I'm 90% decided and your design is still my first choice. I made myself not look at any of the designs for 24 hours so I could see them this morning with a fresh eye.
The one thing that does both me a bit is the subtitle size/font. I think it justs might be too large; it's competing with the actual name for attention. Can you make it smaller and still maintain strong impact? Maybe use a san serif font for contrast? I don't know . . . I just know that right now it feels those 2 lines are a little crowded and competitive.
(And yes I will still be concerned about how it will print in a small format like on a letter.)
And . . . one request I forgot to make in the original brief. I need the "registered" symbol to be incorporated into the design somewhere. The most logical places are either (a) near the icon or (b) at the end of Stained Glass Spirit but I'm open to a different suggestion.
My goal is to decide and commit no later than Saturday evening . . . but I'd like to make the decision today if possible.
First, congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Exciting!!!
There wasn't a specific size or font combination in any of the others I specifically preferred. Sorry, wish I could be more helpful.
But after reviewing them I did notice that I was drawn to san serif fonts . . . but that might just be because in smaller sizes they are cleaner, bolder, stronger . . .
Thanks, you're the best. I didn't like any of the script fonts . . .but it was tough deciding between 104, 109 and 112.
So make everything you send me based on 109 so I won't get confused and use the wrong one accidentally. :-)
And please darken or define the registration mark a little more. It's just a pinch too light. (But I don't want it to draw attention away from the rest of the design; it shouldn't be as dark as the type before it.)
So let's take the final design (#109) and provide (a) EPS files with and without the text plus (b) JPG files in hi and lo resolution for both (c) black background and white background.
That's all I really need.
But, if you're feeling generous I'd love to have 93 and 96 (with the font correction of course). The variation in the filler line color made a big difference.
P.S. I'm okay getting this on Monday . . . It was not my intention to have you work during the weekend.
