The Spotlight Cafe is a student run coffee shop on the UNC Chapel Hill campus. It sells gourmet quality, fair trade coffee and tea as well as signature food that give back to the student organizations they care about most. The proposed location for the Café is in the lounge of the honors building, where large leather sofas and fireplaces set a very charming and cozy tone. Products will include Specialty Blends of Teas, Locally-Roasted Coffee, and sandwiches. We will partner with student organizations and form a co-op. Student organizations will provide the Spotlight Café with word-of-mouth marketing, volunteer hours, and strategic advice. In exchange, student organizations will receive a percentage of our profits, marketing to new members from diverse walks of life, and venue space.

We will be doing lots of advertising around campus, so it will be important to have a unique, attractive, and strongly identifiable logo. Attached is a photo of what our location will look like. While we do want to go toward a more socially active niche, we would like to remain consistent with the elegant space we are in. Photo attached.
