#77 is really attractive, quite distinctive, and very attention grabbing. May I respectfully ask you for three adjustments: Change the color from blue to a nice rich orange (and perhaps a red too), and can you give the 'S' graphic a really slick glass texture treatment, and lastly, the tagline looks a bit cramped ... specifically, it look too close to the 'p' (I can only see a small version, so I'm not too sure). Thank you in advance for your work.
Wow, #118 is really attractive ... very nice job. :-) I would like to see it without the 'S' in the middle of the graphic. I love the text treatment; very nicely done.
#149 is very striking. I've always liked the 'S' design treatment you created. The problem is that everyone I've shown it too feels like it reminds them of the famous Safeway logo:
That said, I really like the three swooshes you put around the 'S'. I don't know if it'll work well, but if it's not a problem I'd like to explore a logo with just the swooshes. It would be great in there were a few more swooshes added to the design.
Arrgh!... I should have spotted that as there used to be a Safeway just 300yrds from where I live. I just showed my wife, she laughed and said she was going to say that!... I'll try the suggestion.
I'm actually living in London UK, but would love to be living on the west coast of USA right now... we've just had about 10 inches of snow and it's pretty chilly...brrrr!!!. Safeway have been taken over by another company called Morrison, the takeover took place a few years ago.
Okay, David, a couple of quick questions for you regarding #239:
1. How will this logo look on a black background?
2. How will this logo translate to monochromes ... one version solid white (for use on a dark background), and one version solid black (for use on a light background)?
Would you like me to send the samples to you or would you rather I post them in your contest? One other thing, as you have noticed I have been accused of copying. This is my own work!
Okay, we're nearing the end of the contest and your beautiful logo (#239 ) is still the front runner. So let me ask you two questions:
1. The graphic element of the logo is beautiful, but I think the font is a bit too bold for the graphic element. Can you use a thinner font? I love the font treatment in #285 .
2. In what format(s) do you provide final logos? I'm hoping either EPS or, even better, Illustrator's ai format. Please let me know.
Thanks for all the creative work; I really appreciate it.
