I adopted the hand emblem from your existing logo, but have used reds and yellows to reflect the Spanish flag. I used the same font as my other entries, as I believe it would appeal to your "target audience" - the young children and their parents.
I have kept with the hand theme from your current logo (perhaps you still think it's too playful though), and have avoided using the Spanish flag colour scheme. I also changed the font to something more "serious". Looking forward to reading your feedback.
Burnsie- we like the more overall professional direction of this entry #11. Could you try another font for the name? The R's of this font look too much like A's at first glance and makes it a little hard to read.
Question: The background is shaded, is this for presentation or is this part of the desgin? If we were to use a design like this would the whole thing be boxed in order to show the shaded background?
#12 Like this font better, but still looking for something maybe a little less stylized, but the concept is good. Also really like the way the design looks with black background #13 (color really pops, especially on the computer screen).
The same as #36 but this time I have added a black/grey fade to the text. (As a side-note, just say if you want to see any of these logos with the black background again)
I have swapped the hands for these "arrows" to create this sun style graphic. It has nothing to do with your existing logo, but I felt that using the image of the children would be too playful, and you have already pointed out that you don't want to go down the playful route.
#38 & #39 Like them both but think we still prefer the ring of hands, we're not counting the hands ideas out (side note: actually one of the comments here was that the ring of hands was liked because it was like a sun and sun is happy -- just interesting because then you next ideas were suns).
Also, our web address is spanishiw.com and sometimes in copy we refer to ourselves as SIW, is there something you can do to accentuate that in the logo words? Working that with #36 would be the way to go and of course you can always throw any brainstorm idea into the mix too if it strikes you.
Even though we seem to be trending toward liking a more traditional / professional look, we don't want to scare you off of doing something more a bit playful if it works. (You know how clients are, always asking for one thing and then choosing something totally different - LOL).
I tried a few different ideas in an attempt to make the 'SIW' stand out a bit, but to be honest I wasn't really happy with any of them. Eventually I decided that it wasn't really possible to make this happen unless the text was below the image again (either that or to completely revise the logo!). This is probably the pick of the bunch, however in my own opinion it isn't as eye-catching as #36.
