Color Preferences
Firstly, we want you to use creative licence and be adventurous and experimental. Colours can be changed easier than design.
Given that, we have had a few thoughts.
We want to enforce the Australian nature of the company.
Therefore Australian colours could work well. Possibly green & gold.
Also, given the southern cross (star formation) sitting in the sky and on the Australian flag - maybe a blue - either light or dark.
Given this, we would love to see other concepts and designs based on entirely different ideas.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
The logo must incorporate the use of the southern cross (star formation). That is fundamental. Beyond this, be creative.

#1 and #2 are too busy, #3 too religious (I see the cross and walk the other way) - None suggest even remotely what it is.
Your logo should reflect the star pattern without religious implication... If you had only sports stuff, I would have thought of a shooting ball of one kind or another (i.e. shooting star) through the constellation

Perhaps the "memorabilia" could be on a piece of paper looking like a star's autograph

(not sure why I am even commenting, but I saw this and was bored... so those are my unsolicited opinions)

Thanks for your input. I appreciate anything that is on offer.
I do agree that #3 is too religious. I would still really like to see a crest-like logo as it implies authenticity.
Still, bring on the creativity guys.

Hi guys. I appreciate your work thus far. However, no submissions have been made in the last few days. We are still very much actively seeking your input on this matter. I would very much like to see a crest-like logo that appears as a stamp of authenticity. That aside, be creative and explore the point. Thanks.

Thanks for your latest submissions. I do like the 3D-ness of them and the use of colour and the star taking form in the "o" in cross. Love the creativity.

Good work Mick,
no matter what I've come up with this one,
none are good enough to enter in hope of beating yours.

I have just extended this for another 2 days. I would love to see some further developments on the existing designs and some more designs possibly from other designers. At the moment, its mainly 2 designers at the top. I'd like to see more.

Bluejet, id like to see #30 developed into something in the format of #6 - with the circle at the start and then the text repeated in a horizontal style. Same goes for your design #31. Chances are these logos will be used on Ebay atleast a bit so they need to fit into a horizontal style bar without a huge amount of negative space.

Charcoal, I'm loving your designs and the slickness of them. That said, same goes with my comments with Bluejet. Id like to see #24 done maybe without the circle in the background. Keep the font and the use of the SC into the "O", but maybe flatten it out a bit more horizontal - maybe have southern and cross together on 2 lines and then memorabilia in larger font following... hard to explain...

southern
memorabilia
cross

like above but without the gap between southern n cross.

malaeus, #34 is quite nice but really needs more development. I'm not sure what to suggest for this.

saturninus, #25 and #27 both have good qualities and they are along the lines of what I thought I was looking for. They are both quite comicish though which is not really what I was going for.

Well hope these comments help you guys out. Thanks for all your submissions. To those who I rejected, your designs just simply were too far from what I was looking for. Feel free to reconsider my desires and resubmit.

Look forward to see your new submissions.

yesk, wow. I really like your submissions #36 and #37. However, a few issues. Firstly it's "SCM" not "SMC". Secondly, the Southern Cross is squashed and unrecognisable. This needs to be visible and in the correct format otherwise it means nothing. I love your use of green and gold and the font used around the circle. Something just isn't right about the middle bit where the SMC is. Experiment with this part.
Thanks

loving the latest submissions guys. especially loving #1 #2 #3 and #4 respectively. I love the clean simplicity of #1 and #2 and the 3d effect of #3 and #4.
the gold gradient is definately working to great a gold rather than a yellow. not sure if im liking the font on #3 and #4.
