#1 by icarrhou: thanks for participating. Of the name, I want to emphasize the first "S" and the first "G" in the name and possibly use "SG" in an icon/symbol. I need to see everything on a white background. My thought was of a deciduous tree with fall color leaves with a trunk growing up and perhaps over the name as to show: protection from elements, colors, and wind / weather. I've seen pictures of trees from the beach/windy areas and the top of the tree seems to grow/bend at an arc sideways. The other idea was trees on both sides (as you can tell I'm not sure). The businesses I manage now (and likely for the next couple years before adding more) are guardianship services (protecting disabled persons), scrapbbooking and framing (arts / crafts), and soon a hot air balloon ride company.

Of course any other new / different ideas are very welcomed.

#2 by VISTA: hello. the leaf is interesting and "fall" related, but I'm not sure it communicates the idea of protection (I am thinking that a tree may be more communicative of protection as well as growth, which I'm interested in communicating), and weather - specifically wind since that is the only method of control of a hot air balloon and communicates movement, and I'm thinking of multiple colors for the scrapbooking / art feeling. The company name is also all one word and I don't want to split up "SomthinGgreat" and have the "S" and first "G" emphasized. I hope this is instructive.

TO all: I learned how to click a designer's work and leave comments specific to that design so I'll do that from now on unless I have a general comment or question. Thanks for becoming involved.

I'm not sure what all the Logo Court, removal of artwork, and removal of comments mean. Should I be concerned? Does this affect me?

Hey There - Don't worry about all the removals, there is quite a bit that goes on behind the scenes here. The process involved in getting you the final product will move forward through the hard work, professionalism and creativity of those of us who participate as designers on this site. The rest of it is just a little noise you can ignore.

I've been playing with fonts and I believe I like the "S" and "G" to be Harrington font (from my Word document font list) and the other letters Goudy Old Style font. I'm still open to other ideas, but that is what I've seen on my own that I like. I'd like to see the "S" and "G" dark blue and the other letters black. I like the look of 3D letters I've seen in other contests.

Is there something else you are looking for that you have not seen in these entries?
