Hi. I tried to follow your directions - include an arrow and stick with the blue / black color combination. I hope I am going into right direction and that You like it.
I am working on the arrow between the words, I will submit all of my work as soon as i get it done, today.
As for the blue gradient, for web, there are basicaly no limits, it would look just as on this preview here, and it would work fine in print also, the colors are not complex, not is the logo itself.
I will prepare the version with only two basic colors used also, just as an option. I ll leave the comment, so you ll know which is which.
2 color print is to my knowladge, still much cheeper then four color, and in this case, i am pretty sure i can limit this to 2 colors only and not lose any quality.
Again, Thanks for your kind reply, and I hope to read more from you when i post the corrected versions.
Got the arrow between the words, and my posts from now on are all "economical", 2 colors only since the alteration from 4 to 2 colors is hardly noticable. I personly like the equal (=) the arrow makes placed between the two words, which is a rather nice coincidance - arrow was not meant to resemble (=) on my first designs. :)
I used the blue for the top and black colors for the bottom just for the sake of "balance" between the words.
Here I changed the typface, as You suggested. Looks more firm, I think.
All fonts used so far are part of a same font family... ...which adds to unified feel.
Please advise me on this, if u don't like the current pick. If I missed the font selection or If You prefer a certain other font, please be so kind to provide me with a name or perhaps a link to one that you like.

To further my presentation, I decided to make a B&W versions, to ensure/show you, that this logo can easily work in black and white, simplistic applications.
The fact that logos are frequently used for stamps, envelopes or fax messages to name but a few, is in my opinion many times neglected when designs are presented. I consider that logo working well on simple aplications is a thing of major importance, so, please take your time to look at those, too.
they are good but not as strong as some of the others - while they look good they do not stand out or seem that unique as compared with some of the others
#57 looks quite good - makes an impact and has some style - thanks
I have another contest for Career Navigator -- so far nothing has really caught my attention so if u are interested in another contest I would like to see what you come up with.
Got a few tips on my design and I think all of the suggestions work and improve the logo... So I am posting yet another example. I am rather curious if you will preffer this one. Thanks for taking your time to reply...
M.
PS: Again, thanks for help and the tips, You know who you are. :)
