The literal representation of leaves or grasses may misrepresent our services within this industry (mistakenly represent us as a landscape maintenance company). Our business is a design only business focusing on the redevelopment, restoration, repair of damaged landscapes on a large scale (local, regional, entire watershed). Our firm will focus on whole ecosystems and thus the graphic logo should embody the representation of whole ecosystems or convey the role plants/design plays within the ecosystem. We will use final design as letterhead (logo + font) as well as on construction/design drawings (font maybe with logo), so the font should be able to stand alone from the graphic. We do have interest in seeing a connection/ link between the logo and the font and can support an integrated design if readable once reduced in size. We are interested in seeing different positions for the logo relative to the font. We are finding ourselves drawn to more earth tones rather than primary colors. The all cap fonts and non-typical font styles seem more appealing. We are also drawn toward more masculine geometry rather than cute. The final design should convey high design capabilities, a certain luxury, an appreciation of whole ecosystem design.

Fonts: We are drawn to all caps, sans seriffs, type fonts. Both the logos and font name will need to be reproducible at a variety of sizes, with and without color. We are drawn to logos that represent natural, organic processes and interaction between water, plants, humans, land, etc.

We are interested to see the use of other natural elements.

We love the ideas so far. Thanks to everyone! We are looking forward to seeing new ideas from the top-ranked designers. A couple considerations:

We will, inevitably, be forced to reproduce this logo in a variety of different dimensions including: black and white and in a 2"x2" square (on our construction drawing title blocks). So... how can we accommodate that?
