SOLID CONSTRUCTIONSLogo Design Contest

Something that I have thought in the "SOLID" part is that my surname is Dimitropoulos, so somehow the last letter of SOLID (D) could be emphasised fontwise or designwise so that it could refer to my surname. Not sure about how this could look like, but it's just a thought

#3: I generally want the emblem to be smaller so that we can emphasise on the "SOLID" part. It looks to me quite more exotic than what i have in mind. i wouldn't like to have as an emblem things like cranes and beams etc. i would like something more abstract,professional and simple. Same thing applies for the fonts. i would like something STRONG with edges and straight lines. An idea for the emblem would be a building conceptual design (schematic) very abstract drawn by hand with very simple lines. Another would be some kind of square/circle with small detail touches inside of it refering to "solid"

#4 Much better font choice but i think there should be a bigger difference in the size between solid and construction. The concept of the emblem is not clearly defined.As mentioned above,i would like a much smaller emblem. thank you

#5,6,7: I like the fact that these are simpler, but i'm not really sure about the emblem. Also i think tht the constrauction should be as long as solid. There is some color missing...Thank you

#8 I like the idea, but i think it's too much. You have differentiated the D a lot and it is also curvy, which i dont like. I als don't like the fonts

#9: I like what you did with the abstract part of the emblem, but i would like something more discrete and soft. It looks a bit childish i think. I dont like the fonts

#11 I like the emblem and its concept. There is some color missing, its too black and white. too big emblem compared to the name

#13 Its a good try, i think i like the emblem on the left and not above, although it depends what type of embem you design. There is color missing...maybe we could try different fonts

DEAR ALL: PLEASE CONSIDER TRANSFERRING THE EMBLEM TO THE SIDE OF THE LOGO SO THAT ITS SIZE CAN BE REDUCED TO THE SIZE OF THE OVERALL LOGO FONT.

ALSO, PLEASE INCLUDE THE COLORS MENTIONED ON THE BRIEF (NOT MONOCHROME) BECAUSE
THEN I DONT GET THE COMPLETE IDEA OF WHAT YOU ARE PRESENTING.
HINT: THE RED OR BLUE(TURQUOISE) SHOULD BE SOMETHING VERY SMALL SUCH AS AN UNDERLINE OR A PUNCTUATION.

#36 I like what you did with the "D" emphasizing my surname but someone that doesn't know the name of the company is going to have a hard time recognizing the letter and understanding the name of the company.

I would like a HINT of red/blue tone somewhere to break all that black or grey...

TO ALL: I BELIEVE BLACK SHOULD NOT BE A MAIN COLOR OF THE LOGO BECAUSE THEN THE LOGO BECOMES "TOO MUCH" . DIFFERENT TONES OF GREY COULD BE USED AND BLACK THIN LINES COULD BE USED FOR THE EMBLEM OR UNDERLINING OR SOMETHING SIMILAR.
A HINT OR RED OR BLUE COULD BE USED IN A LINE OR A PUNCTUATION TO BREAK ALL THAT MODERN BLACK AND GREY COLORS TO SHOW A BIT OF CHARACTER. BUT NOT COLORING THE WHOLE CONSTRUCTIONS PART RED OR BLUE...

DEAR ALL:FIRST OF ALL PLEASE GIVE ALL IDEAS WITH THE EMBLEM POSITIONED EITHER TO THE TOP OR THE LEFT WHICHEVER YOU FEEL FITS BUT PLEASE SCALE DOWN SO THAT IT DOES NOT OVERTAKE THE NAME OF THE COMPANY...

SECONDLY 90% OF ALL LOGOS HAVE A FONT THAT I DONT REALLY LIKE...
I WOULD PREFER I YOU COULD FIND SOMETHING MORE CLASSIC/ARISTOCRATIC WITH MORE FINESSE TO CONTRADICT THE BOLD STYLE OF THE NAME. PLEASE NO MORE "BOLD" STYLE FONTS.

1. I LIKE THE PENCIL SKETCH STYLE AND THE CUBE AS A CONCEPT FOR SOLID.
2. THE 'S' COULD BE PENCIL SKETCHED ON THE ONE SIDE AND THE 'C' ON THE OTHER SIDE (THEY COULD EVEN LOOK ENGRAVED)
3. THE CUBE COULD THEN BE CUT IN LETS SAY 3 PEACES TO RESEMBLE FLOORS WITH A SMALL GAP BETWEEN THE SLICES.
4. FINALLY NEXT OR BELOW THE CUBE EMBLEM WRITE WITH VERY SIMPLE YET CLASSIC FONT SOLID CONSTRUCTIONS.
