I think this is the best version. It has just the right amount of arms and the main (gray) "S" has a nice gradient to blend with the the other (colored) arms.

I made this version much lighter and radiant in feel. Also, the "S" curve has a nicer more subtle appearance. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Todd
