Hi there! Thanks for submiting your designs - good start! I like the font you used and I like the relative weights you've placed on 'Smart' and on 'Survival Kits'. I also like the structure of the logo with the black outline and the text below.

Here are some comments...
1) The pictorial mark you've created shares little to no connection to our core business or main consumer benefit. I think it just represents the first two initials (SS) of our company name, right? While this is probably approapriate for a professional services firm, I think it represents a missed opportunity in this case. Would you consider replacing that graphic for something that relates to our business (e.g. a natural disaster icon)? In fact, what makes our business unique is that we have a tool that customizes the kits to the unique risks that exist in each geographical area (e.g. a kit for Malibu, CA would include items to help you surviva a tsunami, wildfire and earthquake). It'd be really cool if the icon in your design incorporated a few different natural disaster icons. You could divide the square above the copany name into four unique spaces and place the icons there. Just a suggestion, but feel free to troubleshoot as you'd like.
2) I should probably have mentioned this in the brief, but the color black usually represents tragedy. I'd like consumers to get peace of mind when they look at the logo, so it might be better to replace black with dark grey or titanium grey.

Hope that helps!

Hey, that looks awesome! Thanks for submitting a redesign. I really like the style you used for the natural disaster icons. It looks both contemporary and hip. A very significant improvement!

Could we try something? There are two things that I think can help improve this design:
1) I'd like to try placing the natural diaster icons to the left of the wordmark (e.g. you'd see the four icons and next to it on the right the wordmark.) We'd need to shrink the icons so that that portion of the logo is the same height as the wordmark. Please let me know if this doesn't make sense
2) The logo is a bit too colorful at the moment. Can we change the color of the natural disaster as follows? Make the tornado abd the wave blue, and make the crack and the landslide red. We could also try making all four the same color but alternating different shades of the same color (e.g. crack = light blue, wave = blue, landslide = light blue, tornado, blue)
3) Finally, it'd like to see a version where we replace the landslide with fire

I think these changes should push you over the edge to #1! Thanks and great work!

Thanks for trying this last revision. You did exactly what I asked, so thank you for doing that. Something gets lost in the revised design. It doesn't quite have the impact that your second design had (currently ranked #2). I will share all designs with some friends so that they can help me evaluate them. Who knows, it might still win! Thanks again and good luck!

Looking VERY NICE! I think your design can definitely win. Some comments...

For entries 61 and 59, could you please...
1) Remove the plus sign that's in the center of the graphic on entry #61?
2) Revert to the font style you used in entry #14?
3) Revert the colors so that the earthquake and the fire are red and the tornado and the wave/tsunami are grey?

Almost there... thanks!
