Really cool, thanks Jason. Eyeball or no eyeball? Our font doesn't fit, it doesn't look anywhere near as good as the design above it. Want to look at that. This is a sweet design, thank you again.
Thanks for the feedback! There's been some concern by another designer that my last design ( #168 ) that you ranked first (thanks!!) was too close to his so I've revised some of the color elements and I think this entry looks even better!
I intentionally left the eyeball out because, looking through other entries, it seems to convey emotion which is too open to interpretation. He seems to look either appalled, surprised or bored so I left it out which gives it more of a regal, emblem-like appearance and eliminates the possibility of him looking "cartoony".
There's a TON of directions I could go with the font so this entry may very well be the first of many to experiment. Is there a certain "feel" that the image gives you that you could put into words? Hopefully I can start with a font that gives that same feel.
Jason, I still like your design the best. Thanks for the input on the eyes. I feel same.
The design you made feels fluid active and unique. It feels softer and easier on the eyes than most of the rest and you can see the whole rather than looking at a bunch of parts.
I've been working on some font ideas and am REALLY excited about this one! If you tilt your head to the right, you'll see a "hidden" martini glass between the K and the E of Shakers. I think this is a really unique, clever and recognizable treatment.
