Our Ideas & Additional Information
They initially presented me with a graphic of a sentry person to use in the logo design. While they are not absolutely wedded to using this graphic, they want the watch guard concept to be the foremost message conveyed.

In addition, this company is a new subsidiary under another company. That company uses a graphic of overlapping spheres that they like. They would like to either include that concept of something similar to represent the environment.

I've uploaded the three sphere graphic they use on the main site, as well as a hand drawn mockup they put together to show one option for using the sentry and sphere concept together. However they are open to other ideas as well. Also, since they are planning to use this logo in a wide variety of places, they are aware that the final logo will need to be simpler in design than the version with the man that I have uploaded.

Client likes #2 concept

Still waiting on feedback on concept #1

#3 probably don't want to use a modern soldier

#6 not crazy about the soldier in this concept.

#4 & #5, like the interlocking rings but need to also convey that this company will serve as the protector.

We would love to see any other ideas that convey this company is the watchdog, guardian, protector of underground tanks.

For logos using the sentry, would prefer person facing angled or side. See https://www.sentry.com/ as an example of an angled sentry.

Feedback on logos to date:

First, they love the creativity they've seen so far and send thanks for all the great submissions.

They like the bolder colors.

They want to eliminate the three sphere concept that I mentioned in the brief, and I will edit the brief accordingly.

Just to give you a snapshot of the conversations going on here, the two people I'm working with at the client company have slightly different preferences - one prefers the full sentry and the other prefers the representative concepts that have been presented (shield, tank representations in #s 14, 15, 16, etc.).

The end result of all this is that they would like to purse the representative concepts but incorporate the sentry profile or headshot.

Thanks again for the submissions and don't hesitate to post any questions or comments.

Thank you for all that great designs so far. Just as a reminder at this point the client is looking for representative concepts that incorporate the sentry profile or head shot. Also, per the comments I added to the brief, we've eliminated the three circles.

For those that are including the sentry, they are leaning towards the logos that include a sentry along the lines of the original document I uploaded (logoscan.pdf) The logos are with the more serious/stern sentrys are fantastic but not what the client is looking for at this point.

To summarize, they're looking for representative imagery (shield, tank, etc.) that also includes a head shot of the historical type sentry per the document I uploaded.

I hope that helps.

Hi all,

I wanted to let you know that I had to extend the competition because this is a holiday weekend here in the U.S. and not all the decision makers are available right now. I just did a new ranking based on my last communication from them. I will update as soon as I have new information.

Thank you for all the great work so far.

Best,

Hello!

Thank you for all the great submissions so far. The clients are just back from a holiday weekend and I am in the process of updating the rankings. They are interested in seeing concepts that integrate a full minuteman, similar to the one I uploaded initially.

Thanks!
