Seaside School DistrictLogo Design Contest

We are a small school district in Oregon. All of our schools have some sort of logo, but our school district business office does not. Our target audience is our community, students and their families, and other school districts. We are not selling anything, but rather want to professionally represent ourselves on our website, letterhead, apparel, etc.

We would like a logo that will work well in black and white, as well as in color. Colors of the ocean, sand, and forest would be appropriate.

We are a small rural school district, perched on the Oregon coast, between the Pacific Ocean and the forest. Tourism is the primary industry now (with a strong history of logging, fishing, etc). We are in the process of building/remodeling and will be moving into new buildings this fall - with all of our schools gathered on property that sits on the foothills of the Cascade Range, overlooking the city of Seaside, Oregon and the ocean. Our school district covers a large geographic area, including the towns of Gearhart, Seaside, Cannon Beach, and the surrounding areas and we want to be sure they all feel represented by the Seaside School District.

The physical features of our area, the ocean, forest, Tillamook Head, Haystack Rock, and the beach are strong defining features of our area.
