What We Do
SearPerfection is the name of the new steak weight we have developed. Steak weights are used to apply pressure to foods, to increase conduction of thermal energy from the hot cooking surface to the food. This increased force increases heat transfer, which more evenly distributes the heat to the food, resulting in a more uniform cook, short cook time, and better sear (flavor)..
Our steak weight can be used on its own, or can be stacked with multiple weights, depending on the item you're cooking. It has a sleek design, and even has a slot to conveniently place a thermometer into the food and leave it there, hands-free.
Our target audience is in their mid-30s to early 60s, who love to cook, grill, and entertain, making more than $60k a year. They're most likely a married woman, who identifies with luxury brands, and will spend their dollars on a perceived higher quality due to a better aesthetic.
The logo will be laser marked onto stainless steel, so ideally the logo will be 1 color. We intend for the packaging to be all black, to add to the luxury-vibe. We imagined the logo being silver or gray, but we're open to other ideas.

We uploaded 3 attachments - the blueprint of the steak weight and what the lasermarkings will look like (there's a light and dark version and we're not yet sure which one we're going to choose).
The 3rd attachment is the logo for AvantGrub - this is the parent brand of SearPerfection. It's only intended for awareness - doesn't need to match the logo at all.
Although the 1st release of the steak weight is 8" round, future flavors may be rectangular, square, larger round, etc. We've thought about adding some sort of icon that represents heat - flames, heat wave lines, etc. - however we are open to anything you believe will best represent the steak weight.
