What We Do
The intent is to build brand recognition which shows affiliation with another company (FS Scarbrough, LCC Civil Contractors) while providing enough variation in the branding so that the brand is seen to represent a different company. The target audience is; public works agencies for cities in and around Atlanta, Georgia department of transportation, large general contractors, large property managers, potential employees, and site and civil contractors of medium and large size.

Color Preferences

Our Ideas & Additional Information
Scarbrough Paving, LLC is a separate company but it is 51% female owned and the owner is also a part owner in F.S. Scarbrough, LLC - Civil Contractors. We want the new logo to relate in some ways to the existing logo developed for FS Scarbrough. We would like to consider at least one version where we re-use the round part of the FS Scarbrough logo with new verbiage and add a dashed yellow strip through the "S" in the center of the circle representing paving striping. In this version the round portion remains on left and the right will have the word "Scarbrough" on the top and "Paving" on the bottom of the line. Maybe with "Paving" in some more freestyle font. Replace Civil Contractors with Paving Contractors in the circle. Replace F.S. Scarbrough, LLC with Scarbrough Paving, LLC. But don't let this be the only focus. Open to new ideas as well. Important to note that this logo will go on clothing, hats, safety vests, print media, social media, letter head, etc. Must translate well from small to large size. Colors should relate in some way but divergence to use some black and not match exactly is fine.

Quite a few entries already, thanks everyone. Don't stop. One comment that would apply to many of these, try changing the font of "PAVING LLC" to something "looser" more close to cursive text.

When thinking about this logo think about something that would be recognizable (but not necessarily legible) from 50 yards away if it was painted on a piece of large construction equipment. So when someone drives past a construction site and sees this logo they instantly recognize it as ours. It could be that just part of the logo provides for this and the letters are less important at a distance.

Thank you everyone for these entries so far. I appreciate the risk you all take as creatives. Some are really heading in the right direction. No one has quite nailed it yet, but there are some fairly good ones moving to the top. Have a good Friday Night, I will check back in tomorrow.

One of the things we seem to keep going to are the logos where the circle is to the left and text to the right. We prefer this as it relates to our previously established parent company logo. Please consider focusing on those options. Thanks.

If I did not get a chance to personal respond to all your entries, I apologize. Some great entries so far, several really coming a lot closer. If we have commented, please try to give us another version if you have time. Thank you to everyone who has been putting time into our tournament.

One more comment for this afternoon. We seem to really like the logos which have some sort of yellow/orange striping referencing street striping. If you have a logo without this try to come up with a version that does. Another comment. The owner's first name is Amanda, so the "A" in SC(A)RBROUGH being highlighted or somehow emphasized could be a cool design feature to consider. Thanks

Good evening all. Unfortunately I was sick today with stomach flu. I am meeting with the owners tomorrow to discuss the final few logos and to request any final feedback. Thank you for your patience.
