The signature event of the Sacramento Running Association is the California International Marathon (est. 1983). SRA has several other events and plans to add more. We like to compare ourselves to the Boston Athletic Association whose premier event is the Boston Marathon. We do not want to have regional icons depicting the state capitol or the gold rush, but would rather have something with a deeper meaning connected to running. Boston uses a Unicorn head - a mythical animal that strives for perfection. Hermes is the Greek god of athletics and has a winged helmet and wings on his sandals, so wings might be a good symbol. No common runner clip art please! Emphasis of the word "running" is encouraged.

July 19: The #1 ranked logo has some potential. All the previous ones did not emphasize the word "running." In this #1 logo, the colors appear odd on my monitor - more of a yellow, then navy blue, then turquoise blue and teh emblem is interesting but a bit too large. Might like to see a "stacked" version of teh text as well.

#1 and #2: The word "running" needs to have the emphasis.
#1: the full graphic of Hermes is a bit too complex for our liking.
#2: is there any kind of meaning to the graphic in this? Also, it appears too large in proportion to the text.

Runcim, Would you like to go for a more complex gradient style design or a more heraldry simplistic form. I Actually live in Sacramento and own a printshop. So if these are for shirts I can gauge it more towards a shirt design. Feel free to contact me since im local and if you have any print requests or ideas. info@gnature.net

Please resubmit using the correct spelling of the word "running." It has two "n's."
#74
Correct the spelling of "running" please, and make the runner figure (which is good) with a smaller head.
#75 & #78
Stack the text in 3 rows with emphasis on "running" and place the winged foot to the right or to the left. Make the foot more stylized (it currently make me think of an amputated foot) - perhaps with just one wing.
#60
Give the figure more of a lean to the right.
#42
Try the "wing" on the lower part of the leg (foot). Slim down the figure and do a simple presentation in black. Have teh "Sacramento" text match the "Association" text or vice versa.
You willing to put the wings on the lower part of the leg?
