Ok! I will work there. It is 19 hours in France and it's snowing at home. 10cm of snow. We never saw that. I live in the Alpes de Haute Provence above the "Côte d'Azur" Thanks
We are in absolutely sunny California (very close to San Francisco). We are in a bit of a drought and need the rain but are enjoying the very early Springtime weather.
Regarding Entry #66: This is getting closer. We would like some additional changes...
1) I want my name Roland Zoller to be somewhat darker brown and in a type-style closer to what you used for the word "Construction". It should the same size as my name is now.
2) I want the Swiss cabin to the somewhat darker too but still be able to see the detailing.
2) The home needs to be reoriented/repositioned so that a front entry door is visible. This would locate the front door closer to the center of the logo and be just above the "R" in Construction. (Is this request possible?)
I've shown this to my office staff and they like your work. Thank you for your patience.
In advance, thank you for understanding our numerous requests for revisions. Regarding this latest Entry #68:
1) When I asked for the home to be reoriented/repositioned, we want for the front door (covered by the porch roof overhang) to face eastward. This would require you to "turn" the home about 45 degrees to the right. We want the front door to face the snow on the ground. If this is not possible with this particular chalet you've chosen, maybe another one of your choosing will. [To give you an idea of our request, I have uploaded three images randomly off the Internet.]
2) Speaking of the snow on the ground.... we would like to see a Ford Pick-Up truck in the logo parked in front of the chalet with a ladder protruding out of the back of the bed. [I've uploaded an image of a truck to show you the angle.]
3) We understand you cannot copy another artist's work. But we reviewed the other artist's entrys and really did like the wood-simulated border on Entry #58 but without the pointed section at the bottom. It has a brass screw on the left and right. Very clever. Can you submit something similar (without getting yourself into trouble)?
This is the first time our company has utilized LogoTournament so we're still learning. We understand we have less than two days to complete the transaction. But we feel you can satisfy our and meet our ultimate goa. If I do not explain myself clearly on any point, please ask for further explanation. Thank you!
Regarding Entry #72: YES, YES, YES...The Swiss Chalet is absolutely PERFECT! You understood correctly. And the new wooden border is perfect as well. Thank you for being so creative.
Concerning the Ford pick-up truck. As I mentioned in the previous e-mail, I had uploaded a photograph yesterday for the desired angle positioning and it can be found on our Contest Briefs section under Contest Attachments. I do realize it will be proportionate to the size of the chalet. The photo I uploaded yesterday is for visual referrence only; it does not have to be absolutely exact. But our company's truck is painted in a light-gold color; I will post another photograph showing the true color. We would still like to have a ladder protruding from the back of the bed, if possible.
One additional request: Please lower/push the ribbon banner reading "Construction" downward about 1/8 of an inch to allow for more room to accomodate the truck and show more snow on the ground. The tire tracks in the snow is a great visual feature. The truck's front grill should be oriented just above the "...CTI.." in Construction.
We would have to say that this is really close to a final product. You are at about 90% of our vision. Thank you!
I do not have the right to make the Ford pickup. I need a photo you took. With the color of your choice in thumbnail. Understand also that this is a big job. I hope you understand me Arm
Yes, I understand now. I've taken five photographs with my cell phone camera. I'm trying to send them to Logo Tournament's site but we are having problems with our internet connectivity today (just when my office staff needs it most). I will have these available to you as soon as possible. I've also contacted Logo Tournament's customer service to request an extension of time of a day to allow you to finish up any final details we may have.
What an ordeal. Our internet is now finally functioning properly. I've just uploaded a set of five photographs of our company truck onto Logo Tournament's Contest Attachment section. I do apologize as one photo is a little blurry. Please DISREGARD and do not incude the camper shell you see on the back of the truck. It would make extra work for you and is unnecessary for the logo. I hope this is what you need. We hope this will help you. I understand this is very custom work and our company appreciates it greatly.
One more request.... in addition to the truck issue, we would like to see one final version where the name Roland Zoller is in a dark green too. Your extra efforts have not gone unnoticed. Our deepest thanks again.
Okey, what color you want the pickup, light gold color? I do not understand the ladder for ... bed ...? Have you talked to the administrator of the site?
Yes, regarding Entry #72: Yes, the pickup can be a light gold like the photographs I sent. When the rear camper shell is removed, the open cargo area behind the seats where tools, supplies, and materials are kept is known as the "bed". But we've changed our mind about the ladder so do not worry about it. We are very concerned about the very little time you may be allowed to work on our project. I did send a formal request for a time extension but no one's contacted me. Because today is Saturday the administrator may not see it until Monday.
If you could please continue with the final revisions that would be great. Although it's incomplete now we do really like your work and look forward to the next submission. I'm sorry again for the s-l-o-w internet service today.
I just send the pickup, is what color is well. I have to a little dark to contrast with the snow. I spent much time on this pickup .4 hours. I hope you like it. I await your response to be integrated into the logo. Arm
This is really incredible. That is precisely what we were hoping for. You are very good! The color is perfect and the detail is marvelous! I share all of your revisions with my office staff and we've agreed to increase your contest award. Please remember to send two submissions with "Roland Zoller" in different colors, the one you have now and one is a dark green. We want to have a comparison of two similar versions. Thank you.
Regarding Entrys #'s 75 to 78: These are amazing. We are so very pleased! There is no doubt you are very skilled in your craft. You have captured the "small-town feel" of our company's vision! Later today we will review these four latest submissions and get back to you. Many thanks!
Regarding Entry #78: This is the entry everyone in the office loves the best. We have one last (and small) request. On the truck's front grill you've filled in the oval Ford emblem in red. Please change that to the same green as our name "Roland Zoller". It may be too small in detail to see but it cannot remain in red. Here in the United States some people seeing it may think we are members of the political Republican Party. We are absolutely not. That's why we need it in green. Otherwise it looks perfect! Please send this last revised submission and then we'll officially choose it. Thank you.
Regarding Entry #80: You were very clever to place my name on the driver's side door. I really like the idea; thank you for that. I must tell you that in addition to standard size business cards, letterhead, and brochures, we also plan on placing the logo on other promotional items like hanging banners, 4 ft. by 8 ft. signs, and possibly a synthetic wrap for the truck doors. With this said, we do like the name on the door. Our concern is that when the logo is enlarged greatly that the name will be fuzzy, blurry, or just unreadable. What can be done to prevent this from happening? If there is a solution.... I believe Entry #80 may be the winner.
hello, the name will not blur if I give it to you separately in vector. You could print it on a postage stamp, as on a large banner with no problem. You'll have no worries! If you choose me as the winner, I give you all the necessary files, but remember an increase in the initial amount is welcome! :) Thanks
Regarding Entry #80: This is wonderful news about the "Vector" allowing us to print the logo for a variety of uses in different sizes. So with this development..... WE HAVE A WINNER! Entry #80 takes the top prize! I will take the final steps to make it official. You are an amazinig artist with a unlimited imagination. Our most sincerest thanks!
We have chosen Entry #80, the brainchild of the artist known as ARM from France. We are supremely delighted with the last-minute idea he came up with. He has added our company name to the driver's side door of our company truck. That was sheer genius! It is quite evident to us he had our best interests at heart. He has provided us a uniquely recognizable logo which, I believe, will remain in the minds of all clients and prospects who see it. I am amazed that, with no spoken words passed between us, he was able to take direction and numerous requests via e-mail which culminated into this fine piece of artwork. He has captured the small-town, family-owned, traditional feel we were hoping for. We cannot be more happy with this custom made project; it gives our company a new identity. I would recommend him to anyone seeking a high caliber and creative product. With this said, and after even further consideration.... we have decided to raise his contest winnings again to $375. He is worth every dollar!
It will serve you if you eventually have a problem. And if you are unable to contact the site administrator, you can log on "Paypal" and put on my account (locomotif@wanadoo.fr) the amount that you intended to pay me here.
Hello again Logo Tournament Site Administrator and to ARM,
I received an e-mail saying that the written request for an awards increase I sent yesterday did not register. So a few minutes ago I did manually request an increase on the Contest page. We have decided to increase it to $375. Please let me know that this change has been made as ARM earned his full award. Thank you!
You are most welcome. I and the rest of the office staff meant every word. Our e-mail addresses are: rzsmallhomerepairs@comcast.net and rolandzollerconstruction@gmail.com . Please send to both addresses and that will ensure we do receive the set of files.
I mentioned previously that my family is from Switzerland. My dad from Schaffhausen and my mom from Luzern. This mountainscape will make them very happy. Please make sure you are compensated the full wages due to you. We look forward to receiving the files.
We cannot approve of the project yet. We did see some files but the set is incomplete. There are four (4) files of the name "Roland Zoller" but no file for the finished main logo. Please upload it to the website so we can review it.
It is Wednesday evening right now. I cannot understand why the increase did not automatically update. But I will follow up in the morning with Logo's customer support. Thank you.
hello, I sent you the files for the complete logo. If you want something else, I'll send them by email, but we must approve your files I can send on the site only 2 files (1. Eps, 1. Jpg) You can trust me, I like my clients to be happy. Thanks Arm
Just a short while ago we downloaded the full set of files and approved them without hesitation. They are wonderful. And we want to apologize for the additional monies not registering on the website. As per the simple instructions sent to us by Customer Service, last night (Wednesday) we did manually increase the amount but still it was not updated properly. We are rather annoyed by this. Please know, as one businessman to another, we would never withhold payment for services rendered. We've sent the Customer Service representative an e-mail stating he must award you the additional funds. Please understand that for business tax purposes, we must have one single receipt showing the full amount of $375. I promise that one way or another we will have this issue resolved correctly.
Ivan, the customer support representative, responded to me today and we were thoroughly unsatisfied with his response. This was not a user/operator error; it was a system error. We don't think he really cared about the situation. Anyway, under the circumstances we have decided to compensate you directly via your paypal account. Although we are not pleased with Logo Tournament handling of the problem, we would highly recommend your services to anyone who chooses to utilize the company. We like your personalized style. We'll send off the payment tonight. Please confirm you've received it and send a receipt accordingly. Thank you very much.
We have recieved lots of positive comments from everyone who has seen our new logo. You did a great job.
I have one last request. We did receive a receipt from Paypal for the additional money we sent you. But what I really need for tax purposes is a receipt from you on your company stationery stating that you received it for graphic artist services rendered. I need something official to be able to write off the entire amount for my business expenses next year. Thanks for understanding.
