Thanks Sean. Clean and modern. Like the type style. Looking for a more intense or funky "fish". This reminds me a bit of ying yang symbol - maybe that's a possible direction? Best - Robert
Thanks very much. I think you're the only person going in this direction so far and it holds a lot of possibilities. Think even more basic, clean, iconic. There's the real possibility that i'll continue to use my new name/studio typestyle separately from the new illustration too. Your thinking lends itself well to that. I have a colleague http://zavesmith.com/ that has a nice, simple icon. Works well. Best - Robert
Don't abandon this approach with the clean, simple, iconic circle / graphic because it is really growing on me and nobody is going this way. I don't see the "R" but don't need that. Thanks very much for work so far.
thanks for 174-180. lots of color options are possible. what about making the front / "snout" of the fish less elongated and opening the mouth a bit more (to look more cartoonish)?
# 181 sean this may be getting close to something that will work. the gray or screen probably needs to be lighter. and maybe experiment further with the "funky or cool" fish / shark? more happy if that makes sense. maybe play with the shape, proportion or something? maybe eye position too? sorry to be vague.
hi - i want to confirm that this illustration is original - or that you have rights to it. thanks
also, as a variation, is it possible for the fish to be slightly more 3/4 front view to viewer instead of complete profile (let me know if i don't make sense)
actually by scalloped i meant an edge treatment like indents or waves. maybe like a kid would draw the sun?
i'm pushing you on this stuff because i'm starting to lean toward ideasden design, it kind of works easier on its own with illustration and studio name. maybe you could explore a colored background, darker fish? possibly puttong type in the circle. just thinking.
