What We Do
We produce artistic wedding films for modern couples.

Color Preferences
Our 'official' colors have been brown (492f1e) and green (83971b.) So obviously we like browns and greens (though not too bold/bright) and possibly other 'earthy' or neutral colors if it works with the logo. White and black would be ok too.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We definitely do not want anything 'cheesy.' We don't want anything 'film' or 'video' related (i.e. no film strips, no cameras/lenses, no tripods, etc.) nor do we want anything very 'wedding specific' (i.e. no rings, wedding bells, etc.) We probably don't want an overt 'moon', which can be cheesy, but maybe something abstract that can be interpreted as a moon, like abstract circles or something like that, but it's not mandatory. We're located in Colorado (but work in other states as well), so we like nature-related images (trees, branches, leaves, abstract mountain/hill shapes may be cool) but NO cheesiness and no birds please, and again, not mandatory to include these things just suggestions. We like the modern look and modern fonts, and we typically do not like very script-y, flow-y type fonts, but we also do not want it to be too 'technological or cold' (if that makes sense.) Most of our wedding couples enjoy our fun, modern yet professional, artistic style. We're a fun, laid back company and would like to portray that in our logo...we (think :) we would like our name (Rising Moon Films) and a symbol of some sort as part of the logo. I'll try to update with comments/suggestions as the logos come in too.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions

I like the idea of the tree, but I'd maybe like to see some examples incorporating a hill/mountain along with a SUBTLE moon? FYI, I did not like the fonts in entry #3 and #4, I feel it's a bit too 'corporate' for us. Also not digging the 'crescent' moon as much as full circles. I am going to upload a picture of a "moon" logo I found online that I sort of like, maybe for some inspiration, please check it out above!

I uploaded some ideas that I found online that I like (but PLEASE do not put a coyote in OUR logo haha, the one with the coyote is cool but it definitely has to be 'de-cheesified' to work for us.) And our entire logo doesn't have to be confined INSIDE a circle, but it might be cool to see it both ways (logo inside the circle, and logo outside/to-the-side-of/under the circle.)

I'm thinking we'd maybe like to see more of a simplistic nature 'scene', maybe some basic hills, tree(s), circle, etc. We also like all 'caps' for the font, and we'd prefer the 'logo' either above the text, or to the left of the text.

I'm really liking the ideas that have been coming in, thank you!! I still don't have one absolute favorite, so keep the unique ideas coming!

There were a couple entries that we really liked but got withdrawn. They were a moon "circle" with some silhouettes of evergreen type trees with Rising Moon Films underneath. If someone wanted to try something like that it would be greatly appreciated!

FYI - the rising moon idea presented by 'eko' before his removal is open for designers to explore. The only requirement is if that concept is chosen, the winner will split the prize with the removed designer.
