I hesitate in asking you to work on it a little more but we do like where this direction. I know you have already made some revisions and appreciate your participation. I just feel the type style is still scews too young. We did use the words flirty and whimsical in our brief which I am sure lead you in this direction. That said, it was in an effort to move the work we were receiving out of the very serious corporate arena which simply just isn't our brand.
Your creative direction takes us to where we want to go...but just a little beyond it as well. I am hoping we can pull back on the typestyle to place us somewhere on the "credible/professional/resourceful" spectrum.
I believe that the whimsy of the illustration -- driven mostly by the roofline of the house -- needs to be balanced with a typeface that is less childlike. Entry
#84 comes closest, but the rocky baseline still takes it too far. Entry
#81 is more legible, yet the strength of the red is too much....I prefer the illustration/colors in Entry 81 yet would like to stay in the spring tones/palette...not necessary to stay with the green/blue orange that we have seen in other entries. We are open to other colors...but the red is just a little too primary.
