I have created a strong unique letterform mark using the realgravity initials. clever use of positive and negative space has been used to create the world and it's axis within the main 'circle' to play on the gravity theme. The Letterform mark is unique enough to be used on it's own to represent your brand and is the type of identity that your business partners will happily display on thier products. The Wordmark has been tailored to the the icon and as a result both complement each other. This logo design will also work perfectly on white and can be reworked in red (or other colours easily). I hope you like this submission, any feedback is appreciated.

We like this a lot. Our primary use will be as a badge on our video players. It is unclear how much space we will get away with, as publishers will prefer to have no "powered by" logos at all on their customized video players if possible. If we get any space at all, it will be small. With the space we have, the goal will be to get both the letterform mark, and the name written out. Can you do a version that would suit that use: The letterform mark with the word spelled out to the right or down one side or married to the letterform in some way that fits both the mark and the word into a neat box/space, which a user can read? Also, if you can think of a way to make it more clear that the letterform represents both an "r" and a "g" without losing what you have done, then the letterform alone will be more valuable. as it is the "g" is very clean, elevgant, and clear, but we don't think the "r" as done will not be recognizable if you don't know to look for it.

This could also be done with 2-3 versions of the same mark: 1) #67 as you have it: The mark all alone, without lettering; 2) #67 mark, with the word "realgravity" written out to the right, which we would use on the site and on business cards; and 3) a combination of the two: If this is possible: A version of #67 that has the word "realgravity" written out in small font that makes it part of this mark, which we could use on video players...not sure if this is possible, but would love to see an attempt.

Hello dlmcdonough, thank you very much for the positive and constructive feedback, if we keep the communication open I'm sure I'll be able to deliver what you are looking for and more.

I have reworked the letterform mark to more closley resemble both r and g and I think the concept is still intact and strong. I am uploading 3 versions for you to review based on your comments. This first one is a simple revised mark with stronger definition to the 'r'.

I'm not sure if you prefer the blue version over the red/orange version so I have also reworked the deisgn in the alternate colour scheme and if you prefer this look just let me know and I will submit the 3 logo variations with this colour scheme for you to review. (I think these two colour schemes work well but I can rework in alternate colour schemes if you would like)

Hello again dlmcdonough, here is a another design that I have been developing since the start of the contest, from your comments and brief I think you'll probably prefer my earlier submissions but thought you'd like to see it anyway! If you do like it let me know and I will develop a badge version of it for you! :)

If you would like any revisions to any of my submissions just let me know, I can see that the contest is drawing to a close and I'd like you to be completely happy with a winning design!

Your latest, #130 has emerged as our favorite. The comment is the same as with your last entry: Can you pump up the "r" part of the letterform to make a bit more obviously an "r?" We like this version a lot, so we don't want to lose what you did, but eventually, we want the letterform to stand on its own as an "rg." Also, if you can apply a couple other color treatments, that would bring over the only remaining dissenters, who are preoccupied with the grey.

Thanks a lot.

I am about to select your design as the winner...i am not sure if i will then lose the ability to send you email, so i will do it here now: If you are interested, we would like to talk to you about additional design work outside of this system. Send me email at luke_mcdonough@yahoo.com if you would like to know more.

Also, i am not sure how the final delivery process works, but we will likely use many different color variations of the logo as we customize it for different video players. If possible, we would like to get all the treatments you did of this mark.

Either way, thanks very much for participating, and congratulations on the win.

Best,

Luke
