Hi, my first two concepts for your logo. Happy to make changes and welcome your feedback.
Thanks,
Catherine

Hi
Thank you for your entries
#26 is really clever I just think that with the narrow lines of that font it doesn't stand out as much as it could. I have had a look at your other designs, very impressive! I love the colour combination of your Thursday with SAMs, teal, green and red. It's my favorite colour combo. Could we please work with that? #24 really stands out how would it look with this colour combo? My husband is not sure about the brackets around the "e" I like it
Thanks sarah

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for the useful feedback. I've uploaded a new version with the colour scheme of the logo you suggested, using a similar font with a heavier weighting so it doesn't appear weak....
Thanks,
Catherine

Happy to make any changes to these different designs - a few different colour combos for your consideration and #48 to show how it would look grey-scale for black and white media ie. fax, newspaper, photocopy etc...

Hi Catherine
Great entries thanks again.
Love#42 and #44 colours are perfect and designs are excellent. Simon not keen on colours of #43 and found it hard to see the "r" in #45(boy thing I think)but we like the "communications" added to it.
Thanks Sarah

Hi Sarah, #50 another version of #42 with a slightly more formal font (less rounded). Alot of telecommunication/tech companies seem to use the rounded fonts, but #50 is very clear and easy to read. Depends on you and Simon's preference I guess! #49 I was trying to incorporate the colour slightly more, but I don't think it has the clarity of the initial design.

Hi Catherine
You are right about #50 it is clearer. I think you could be right about #49, initially i really liked it but I think it distracts alittle from the original, worth a try though, you never know, thanks for giving us the option. Not so keen on #48, We will probably have black tops etc and this wouldn't stand out.
thanks

Hi Sarah, just thought I'd submit these to show how it looks on black as you mentioned black tops etc. #70 is with the original blue I had on #50, #71 is slightly brighter so it really stands out on the black....just a minor thing and it will depend on whether you embroider or screen print I guess as to what colour you can do...

Hi Catherine
Thanks, the logo looks fantastic on black. You are right about the brighter one on the black, it does stand out more.
thanks

Hi again
I Still think #44 has real potential. if the r could be just a little more obvious, and still have the word communications. At this stage we are ready communications, but our 0800 number is 0800readycomm and our website www.readycomm.co.nz, people we are dealing with are already calling it readycomm. So I was thinking if we used readycomm(all one word) using your style, font and colours, making the #44 'r' and the 'c' look the same it could? look ready great??? or not?
thanks

Whoops I said ready great instead of really great, wasn't trying to be funny.
Sorry Catherine have just read the thread again, does it make any sense? Will explain myself better. Will use ready communications but if required we could modify #44 for marketing and advertising purposes, using both ready communications and readycomm when required.
thanks

Hi Sarah, yes makes perfect sense, will get to these in a couple of hours... haha I wondered whether the 'ready' was a pun or not! :)

Hi again, just uploaded the requested revisions in both of your preferred colour schemes. #128 and #129 with the 'comm' added. The 'c' may need some tweaking so it doesn't so much look like readyromm! but this gives you an idea of what it will look like. I've added an upriser to the 'r' on #124 and #125 to make it clearer. Let me know your thoughts and I'll be able to make revisions throughout the day tomorrow...

Hi Catherine
Thanks for those changes, they look great. The r does look much better, I see what you mean by the romm, it looks really effective though. Looks great as just ready communications as well.
thanks

Hi Catherine
Bugger, I have my friend here and she is the sub editor of the paper I work for, she is working with different fonts every day. She is worried that #124 will not reproduce well, and finds the font too bulky and I see her point unfortunately. Can we please change the font to something that will still work with the signal, sorry to be a nuisance.
thanks

Hi Sarah, was just thinking that myself before so no worries, will try a couple of less bulky fonts soon...

HI Sarah, here's a couple more with a less bulky font, #146 and #148 use the same font as #50. Let me know if you'd like to see anything else...

Hi Catherine
They look great, thanks for that. Have you got any thoughts?

I think you've got quite a few great logos here and you and Simon will have a tough job deciding! :)

I can really only comment on my own designs (designer code of conduct), and my preference is still #50 - simple and clean yet it gets the message across without any distraction from the design. I prefer #148 over #146 slightly heavier font without being to bulky #146 looks a little 'weak' and sparse, and I prefer the blue/lime green/red color combo over the red/jade - seems more modern and fresh.

Other than that I can't really say a lot more! Out of interest, where are you based? I'm in Auckland - used to work in design, but now have 2 young kids that keep me busy - so I enjoy working on here to keep my skills fresh! It's great to see a few more NZ contests on here, and for once I'm not fast asleep when the contest holder is requesting changes from the other side of the world!

Anyway, if you need anything else or have any questions just let me know, happy to help.

Thanks,
Catherine
