#3 Everything seems to be meeting the brief, but the prawn doesn't have that "yum" factor - looks a little bit like a grub rather than a delicacy. Nice effort though.

Updated submission attached. Is this more what you had in mind? I forgot to mention on first submission that the prawn is positioned to create an abstract Q with the background circle.

Craig

Thanks Craig, this is much closer. He does look a little meaner with full headgear on. By covering him with the water you solve the tail size issue (the exposed tail on #6 is a bit small for most prawns) Nice effort. If it becomes the winner, we might need to drop off the whiskers as I think they might cause problems when the logo needs to reduce in size, but we can cross that bridge when we come to it.

Thanks Ben, I'll keep looking at it and submit a tweaked version if anything comes to mind.

Thanks Craig - good to see the initiative to add a few keywords as well to help it along.

Hi Ben, I've added the extra wording to this one.... plus created a 2 tone more formal looking option. Has more of the gourmet vibe but still with a sense of fun.

Craig

HI Craig - you've won the tournament, with your designs. The reason it has taken me some time to get back to you is that I am just trying to figure out which one works best between #29 and #38. I really like the fun and relaxed nature of the type of #29, but I am concerned that it won't be readable at a small size, and in mono.
I really really need the logo to work over the background image that I uploaded as part of the brief.
If you can make #29 work on this background (and in mono!), then it will take the prize, otherwise, would you be able to give me another option. The Type on #38 is strong enough to be readable at a small size, but it reminds me of a lot of Queensland style imagery from the 80's. What do you think?

Hi Ben,
Totally understand all your comments, especially the 80's vibe of the other font! I've submitted a version with a bolder version of the text which I think helps it view better. Plus you'll see a smaller version and the mono version, all of which I think work quite well. (i've also taken out the extra shadow and glow on the prawn after seeing it at the smaller size. It just didn't need it and keeps it simpler)
Let me know if any queries at all.

Cheers,
Craig
