Queensland PrawnsLogo Design Contest

We're off to a great start. Not 100% there yet, but looking good. To add a bit more info, this logo is the umbrella for all the prawns produced in Queensland. Hi Sebastion - #4 and #5 - nice effort, just remember that the word is "Prawn" not "Prown". With whiskers and tails - we have to be careful not to make it look too much like a monster from the deep. The character needs to be fun and friendly. I like the casual, fun feel of the type in #3, but we haven't yet found the right character to bring it alive.

Ok guys, looks like we're a little light on the amount of entries here, so I'll propose this. In essence, with #7 we have an answer to the brief - pretty well what was asked for. But what we took away some of the constraints? Can "Queensland Prawns" be made to work just as type? Is there merit in looking at something that doesn't necessarily feature a prawn, but looks more like a gourmet food brand, upmarket cookware or wine?

Thanks everyone for the new entries, I've posted individual comments under the individual logos. I have extended the contest, because I am not sure we have nailed it perfectly yet. It may have something to do with my selections on the stylistic sliders. I will have a think about this and get back to all of you soon.
